The Phantomwise Tarot: A 78-Card Deck and Guidebook (Tarot Cards) Review: BEAUTIFUL deck. You won't be disappointed. - These cards are special. The artwork is beautiful. It gives me vibes kind of like Alice in Wonderland and whimsy. The minimalistic coloring really adds to the beauty of these cards. The texture and size of this deck are fantastic; although some may find the bigger sized cards and texture ( which I LOVE) may be tougher to shuffle until you get familiar handling them, unless you're a shuffling pro, which I am not. The box it comes in and where you'll store your cards is also really nice. There's a cutout in the sturdy box with a ribbon that lays under your cards to use for ease in removing them the perfectly sized spot they sit in. Which, by the way, is red which is a beautiful contrast to the black and white everywhere else. My only con with this deck is the booklet that explains the meaning of each card is also kind of minimalistic. I'd prefer a little more detail and clarity of what each card represents, so I find I also reference other resources for more explanation and clarity on these cards. I am a super beginner, so more experienced folks probably don't even need these booklets to read the cards, but for beginners just note you may want more clarity beyond the booklet that comes with it. The deck is still a SOLID 5 stars tho!!! Review: Whimsical and Magic - The illustrations on the cards are beautiful and the quality is nice! There is a slight bend in the cards, but that will go away with time and use. I definitely recommend, especially if you or someone you know is drawn towards carnivals and the circus.

Very pleasing illustration, good accompanying book, odd cardstock
If the cardstock of a deck is a deal breaker for you, you will possibly want to pass on this one. The cards have a pleasant linen finish and are well printed but they don't, or so far won't, stay flat. Mine arrived with a bend in the deck from new, which is not as major an issue as it might be since the cards can be bent in the opposite direction, even as a whole pack. But once straight, they won't stay that way as you use them. They are going to flex and warp a little in use, and they can be straightened up with little or no effort but will tend to bend again. It doesn't seem to be an issue of quality or durability, these feel like they'll last, they just don't return to their initial flatness of their own accord. I don't mind this, myself, it's not a problem for me but it will be for some so be aware, if you want no flexibility in your cards you will want to look elsewhere. I find they shuffle just fine as they are, the linen surface is just grippy enough to provide friction while allowing the cards to slide. A slight bend doesn't bother me at all. The designs are based on RWS but don't expect exact correspondences in all the cards. The author suggests that they be used not merely or only as a classic tarot deck but to allow yourself to interpret them in your own ways, so the RWS meanings are there but the images are often loose enough to leave you free to add your own interpretations. Oh, and there are bunnies.

Amazing vibes
This deck just speaks to me. I haven't read the any of the books. The stock is fairly thick but a little warpy. The skin of the cards is amazing. The linen feels nice in the hands, not too sticky, just right. The art is beautiful, if not a bit melancholy. The true gem of this deck you will need to discover for yourself. For my part it holds a spirit that is true to me. The readings have been spot on.

I love this deck
classy color scheme with beautiful illustration that gives a good visual representation of the cards meaning. it also shared elements with the rider waite smith deck. the booklet is also a nice description of the cards and their meaning. definitely worth a look.

Beautiful artwork!
These are beautiful tarot cards. The artwork is incredible, and the size of the cards is perfect. They're not too small and not oversized. The cards have a satin finish, not super glossy or matte, and they have the slightest bit of texturing. My only complaint is that the cards are too thin. They could really stand to be a bit more sturdy so they hold up through constant use.

Awesome tarot deck
I loved Erin Morgenstern;'s book, The Night Circus, and I love that she did all the art herself and didn't rely on AI. This deck is charming and awesome. I own over 100 decks and it's one of my favorites. I highly recommend it, especially if you like to collect black-and-white tarot decks. By the way, Erin Morgenstern's The Starless Sea is magnificent and is even better than The Night Circus.

Luxurious and whimsical
I’ve been waiting for this ever since she posted images of some cards on her site years ago and promised to finish the deck one day. She did not disappoint. Erin Morgenstern, author of “The Night Circus,” designed this deck while she was writing the book and it shows, with a definite “circusy “‘feel to the images. The color scheme is mostly black and white, in a nod to the aesthetics of the book, with a black and red box. The images are simple, elegant and charming, with a sort of “Edward Gorey but cheerful” feel to them. And the cards themselves feel amazing. Heavy linen stock, they have weight and substance to them and shuffle wonderfully. This is a well-made deck. You definitely don’t need to know the book to enjoy the deck but if you do, you’ll find nods here and there. Well worth buying.

This tarot deck is a piece of art!!! I cannot believe we don't see it more often. It's soft, cozy and super inspiring. The black and white gives it a very unique feel that for sure turns heads. Thick cards and the images are super detailed making it one of my favorite decks to read with.

Beautiful design and the book has good descriptions, with a storyline to feel the vibe of each card. I love this deck and have formed a great connection with it, unfortunately, the box is no longer with me as it wore away until i threw it away- but the cards remain a useful tool in my day-to-day life.
