This book is just the thing for the middle school aged child who is just beginning to explore nature. It includes many of the plants, insects, etc. that are native to this very special ecosystem that is Southeastern North Carolina. It does have a brief bibliography providing the more sophisticated nature lover with opportunities to access further information.

I bought this for a present. It seems fine
