Use LINEMAN'S PLIERS
Zipties seem like natural to hold things together in the garden. But after a couple of years in the sun, they're toast. Whatever you thought was being held together becomes so many separate pieces.Enter these puppies. TERRIFIC for longevity in sunlight. BUT... The ONLY thing that cut them was Lineman's Pliers. I tried regular pliers, medium diagonal pliers (large *might* work), end-cutters, and even bolt cutters. They all put a nice bend in these ties, but nothing cut them.About the 3rd suggestion I tried from the AI bot I consulted was Lineman's Pliers. They worked perfectly! Good leverage for holding the end to pull it tight, and great cutting action. Why? Dunno. But to use these terrific ties, be sure you have a pair!

THESE Stainless Cable Ties Work Great ... IF YOU HAVE TOOLS TO INSTALL 'EM
Stainless steel cable ties are great for use in UV or heat-related installations. Like securing your heat shielding under the hood of your car. Problem you'll encounter is that the ties attach in a pseudo backwards method, rather than at a right angle with ribbed teeth facing inwards on plastic ties. Not only that, you simply CANNOT pull them maximum tight using finger strength, unless you are a super he-man she-woman Amazon hand-strength person. Best way is to use an expensive INSTALL PISTOL (if it clears the working space) or TWO sets of pliers, and gloves. Using pliers works okay: use a slip-joint simple pliers sideways to press back against the plane of the locking head; then use another needle nose or duckbill pliers to pull back on the stainless tail that you inserted into the locking head. You'll probably have to wind the tail in a circle to get a tight grip, using the slip-joint pliers as a fulcrum. Success!! With PRACTICE. These stainless cable ties seem well made. None of them failed during install unless I applied pressure incorrectly with only ONE set of pliers, in which case the stress damaged the locking head. Recommended, for applications that need extra durability. After you cut the excess tail off, I suggest you apply a glob of high temp silicone gasket maker, or similar product, onto the locking head, to keep the sharp edges covered up.

Great if you know how to use them
Saw these used on Project Farm's video (can't remember if it was this exact brand or a similar). Stainless steel zip ties work differently than standard zip ties. You can pull all you want to tighten them, but they relax slightly after you release tension (as many other reviewers have noticed). As far as I know, this is by design and not a flaw. To get them to stay in a taught position, pull the tie as tight as you need, then bend the excess over the clasp at at least a 90 degree angle. I like to go 180 degrees. Snip the extra until a few millimeters are left out and done. Tight stainless zip tie.As for the ties themselves, they work great. Have a couple of those work lights that clamp onto a surface. I use them as heat lamps for my reptiles, and the shade always falls off of the bulb holder over time. I rigged some normal plastic zip ties to hold it in place, which worked well for a while until they broke. I replaced all of them with these stainless versions and no breakages since. I'm sure these would be great in a lot of high heat applications, outdoor settings where UV could affect the ties, or maybe some temporary car applications when you don't have a hose clamp.Have a set of these on hand and you'll keep finding uses for them. They are cheaper here than the local hazard fraught last I checked too, so even more reason to grab a pack.

great value (quality+cost)
Held under pressure where normal nylon/plastic tie-wraps fail. Some are a bit difficult to get started, but once started the hold very well - think I just need more experience using them. I recommend this product/vendor.

Very sturdy, long lasting
The media could not be loaded. I love these metal zip ties!! They have withstood being in the blazing hot sun over 100 degrees for months and they still look like new. So easy to use and for different projects, and they do not rust. Very happy!!!

Stainless Steel Zip Ties - much sturdier than plastic.
These are as advertised. The stainless steel is thin and it makes attaching them easy. There is a little bit of a trick - you need to hold the strap with a plier (I prefer using a needle nose plier) then roll the strap back on itself to get a tight fit. I use this to build garden trellis with electrical conduit tubes and fence panels. I previously used nylon zip ties but they normally only lasted about 1 or 2 seasons as they got brittle from the weather.I expect these to hold up much better - so far so good. I also suggest to use gloves when attaching these as the metal is thin and sharp.

Does the job
Got these to strap a grill grate to my charcoal basket in my Weber Smokey Mountain smoker. Works great. Not sure how long they will hold up to that extreme heat but there are TONS of spares if one or two ever decide to give out. Three smokes in and they still look perfect.

Buenas aunque delgadas
Cuando las busque se me hicieron bien de lo largo, aunque no hablaba de lo ancho y están bien aunque delgadas como de 0.4 cm

Amazing!
After seeing a zip tie review on “Project Farm” on YouTube, where the failure load was many times higher than the weatherized plastic ties I’d been using on the winter cover on my sailboat (fabric cover over a skeleton of plastic electrical conduit) Every year I’d come back several times during the winter, find several ties had snapped, snow had accumulated in the resulting depression, and the frame inside the cover had snapped ribs and begun the process of collapse. I was never sure if the problem was the zip ties or the plastic conduit failing under load. This year I tried these metal zip ties and I’ve had zero problems- not one has failed, even in a day of howling icy winds last week. One danger is that they’re as sharp as a razor, so I had to carefully tape over each tie, so that a dangling tip or edge doesn’t slice through the cover. A small price to pay to avoid the endless repairs. I love these things!Edit from several years later: I’ve now gone through several winters using these, and NEVER had one fail under load. Awesome!
