Thai Yellow curry paste (1kg by Mae Ploy)

Love this stuff! My favorite Thai restaurant uses this brand. This in the Mae Ploy coconut cream is my favorite flavor.

I like the taste better than Maesri's paste. Yes, Maesri's cans are easier to deal with than Mae Play's folded plastic pouches, but I open the pouch right away and divide the contents into quantities I'll use in one cooking session. I keep one out for immediate use and place the rest of them in the freezer. Now I've got the taste and the convenience.

This larger tub of curry paste is a great value if you like making curry at home! We keep the jar in the freezer to preserve it and then measure it out by weight whenever we need some. It IS a bit spicy, though, so if you're not spice-tolerant I'd recommend using less than the advertised amount.

Great flavor. It is a bit salty but if you balance the amount of coconut milk with paste you can find the right balance. It has above average spice but It is not too hot. It has simple and natural ingredients which is a plus.

You can't go wrong with this yellow curry paste! It's the best I've ever had!

So my husband put me on a budget....which meant I couldn't fulfill my once a week take out curry obsession. I checked out a few different recipes, but the ingredients were difficult to find and expensive. Looking on some forums, I found that this is used by a lot of Thai housewives, so I figured, why not?First, the recipe on the package made it too spicy, watery and not really a lot of flavor. So the first batch was a learning lesson.The second batch though nailed it right on the head. It tasted just like the yellow curry we get from the restaurant....and I'm extremely finicky when it comes to flavor.We took 50g (we weighed it out on our scale) to two cans of coconut milk, a slightly overfilled tablespoon of brown sugar and salt to taste.It was perfect. Flavorful, slightly sweet with a little kick. Served over jasmine rice, it was delicious and delightful. Super easy, even my husband says he's going to make it at work. Great product when you get the recipe right and we will be buying it when our container inevitably goes empty.

You can have that amazing curry taste at home. This is my go to for Thai curry with noodles.

Finally found a thai curry sauce that i like!i just have to add more lemon grass to suit my taste. but gosh, this is delicious!

The value of money, easy of use and Flavors are astonishing. This paste carries a lot of flavour and delivers a medium heat. Goes well with chicken and fish or vegetables. Squeeze a little lemon or lime over the rice to help cut through those flavours and refresh the palette.

I love this stuff with potato, chicken and coconut milk.
