This product worked as described, but I was going to use it to hold a pocket door closed that had weight/pulley and when activated, the door would open, but any weight/tension on the latch makes it pretty worthless. It is fine for anything that does not put pressure on the latching mechanism, but that's pretty much it.

Fast acting! As another plus, they are quite loud when engaging so it can be heard when its installed.
