Nature's LifeReinforce Bone Formula | 250 ct

I began taking this supplement after labs revealed low vitamin D level. After a year of this formula restored me to a normal vitamin D level. When Vitacost.com discontinued this formula, I ordered it from Amazon. It arrived quickly and the price was reasonable.

Been using for a long time against osteoporosis. Glad to be able to get it.

I have also been using this product for years and have had no side effects. I do have some bladder leakage but more from not taking time for my bladder to empty. I trust this product and constipation is a REAL issue if I'm not taking it.

Help my bones

I took Reinforce Bone Formula for a period of about 2 years and then was told to switch by my doctor to a heavier calcium formula. But I liked Reinforce - it had a great combination of everything good for the bones: 3 forms of Calcium, also Magnesium in a good balance to help process the Calcium, also vitamin K and D and Boron. Its combination also worked to keep my bowel movements regular (some calcium supplements cause constipation). HOWEVER, after taking the doctor's stronger calcium for a while which did cause constipation and was made with shellfish bone, I wanted to switch back to Reinforce and found something different in the formula. The old Reinforce, to the best of my recollection, had Horsetail as its source of silica; silica makes bones and nails stronger. It can also act as a mild diuretic to keep the kidneys and bladder clean. But the new Reinforce (there was about 2-3 years in-between when I took it the first time and when I started back up) has been changed to having Bamboo (technical herbal name bambusa vulgaris) as its source of silica. I saw the change on the label before ordering, but ordered it anyway because I did fine with the old formula. Bamboo, it turns out, must be a much stronger diuretic. Within 2 weeks of beginning to take Reinforce again, I began having bladder leakage and had never had this before. At first I thought it was a yeast infection, but soon realized the discharge was coming from the urethra, not the vagina.Within a couple weeks more, I was having a FLOOD of bladder leakage, to the point of needing to wear pads and changing them several times a day! It was the only supplement I had starting taking differently, I hadn't started eating any different foods. So I went back off the Reinforce. Within two days, the bladder leakage stopped. I started taking the Reinforce again because I liked the calcium combo so much, and was hoping this form of silica was not the cause of my leakage. But sure enough, the leakage started again. This may not happen to everyone, but it happened to me. Too bad - it's an excellent calcium formula.

We have used this product for years. This calcium agrees with my stomach where others do not.
