The Quest Kids Board Game | Family Fantasy Tabletop Game for Ages 5 and Up | Adventure Fun for Boys and Girls

This game is great! You know its a winner when your 5 year old is begging you to play again as soon as it's over... Playing Quest Kids has become a carrot I dangle as a reward for good behavior. The rules are straight forward, but not mindless, and it really does introduce a lot of mechanics that kids will see in later games.A WONDERFUL STARTING POINT FOR GAMERS!I am not sure what the other reviewer was talking about regarding not having enough resources to defeat the monsters at the end: I basically just supervise sometimes and my 5 year old is able to clear the dungeon (she can actually do a lot of the setup on her own and knows all the rules well enough to explain to friends). I actually think its wonderfully balanced to where we usually have JUST enough cards to get the last monster.The large components are really cool, and the TREASURE BAG is a big hit (see photo of us set up for the final quest in the Tolk the Wise expansion).This is a really great way to get your kids off the screen, and around the table and interacting with you and having fun. Can't recommend enough! I have already given 2 copies as gifts to friends with kids because I enjoyed playing with my kids so much.The Trials of Tolk the Wise expansion adds a lot to the game as well. Tells a whole story and adds cool mechanics.

I wanted to try a new game with the family that was a step above candy land and also seeing Tom Vasel on YouTube highly rate the game....we found it. I bought the Quest Kids base game and also the Quest Kids Trials of Tolk the Wise add on campaign that has a story to play through. My kids that play are between 4-8 years old and they all really enjoyed the new style of game play, loot gathering and working as a team to get through the game. Quest Kids has opened the door for them to see and understand this style of game play on their own level and we all loved it and loved it and loved it, we just have had so much fun. Once I learned the rules and was able to help lead them through the game they were all wanting to share cards to help each other get treasure and scare off the bad guys to keep playing..so did I!!! Highly Recommend

It pretends to be an intro game, but the rules don’t make sense. Even with maximum collaboration, the players all run out of resources before even getting to the tough enemies. Also, the vague board markings make navigation clumsy and non-intuitive.Hard pass, dog.

My kid loved this for his birthday. He's 5 and picked it up really quickly and we had a lot of fun too. That doesn't happen a lot with kids games. There is a bit of rng to this so it's kinda up to luck but that just evens it out and I can't complain about that. We've played it every day since he opened it and I look forward to it. I know it's a bit pricy but most games like this are and I feel like we got our moneys worth. I do agree that there was a missed opportunity to put a different map on the back to make things a little different but it doesn't effect game play. Will definitely be buying any expansions, we're so glad to have a game like this that our kids can play!

Great game to ease the young ones into tabletop dungeon crawlers. Definitely read the rulebook as all games, but it's pretty quick to get the point of the game. The gameplay is geared largely towards cooperation so it keeps everyone rooting for each other, which allows everyone to experience the success or failure of a players turn as a team. The individual aspect of building your character also still allows for a competitive, individual aspect for the older ones without upsetting the younger ones with backstabbing or other typical mechanisms when you compete. This game is truly fun for any age and a welcome break from electronics overload. Can't wait for the expansions!
