Fire tv has its own android remote app
But firetv has its own app which can be installed on any android phone and can easily be used after paired

Powered it up with 2 AAA's, and it instantly worked like the original. Couldn't be simpler.

Nice remote that works well with all my Vizio products. Only problem is battery cover is not as secured as it should be, comes off occasionally.

Connected to my Vizio tv effortlessly and hasn’t needed battery replacements since I got it , much better than the old remote

Thank GOD they finally replaced Vizio remote! The old one was awful; it usually only lasted a short while before those nasty, mushy little buttons completely stopped responding and you would be sitting there, mashing the buttons hopelessly and getting infuriated. Certainly took them long enough to replace it, too.
