Ripleys HSK-19 is designed for use with 3/8″ (9.5 mm) or larger electric drills during the installation of permanently mounted mobile antennas. Its special drill bit prevents the saw from walking & the hole depth is limited to 0.125″ (3.18 mm) to prevent damage caused to the underlying headliners of vehicles. Not as good as the old ones I used to use, but gets most of the job done.
This one does not remove the paint around the hole on the outside. you must remove this paint yourselves. This is where the best ground plane occurs.
