STAS Picture Hanging (Ceiling) System: STAS u-Rail White 150 cm (59"") + Installation kit

I needed a solution to hang an oversized piece of art (60"x48") from the ceiling because the only available wall was completely mirrored (by previous owner). This rail and hanging system was a fantastic find. The information seems to indicate the product is be used with ceiling tiles but we were able to use existing studs for the rail screws. The installation of the cord and zippers was easy and the colorless cord is great. The only negative (for my situation) is that the delivered rail screws are so short they couldn't be used so had to purchase longer screws and painted them white when done. The rail is so low profile it looks great my guests don't even realize that a rail exists because it blends into the ceiling. So happy with it, would buy again.

The screws are small and there are too many of them. When I was trying to hang a piece, one side was bearing more weight. The rail ripped out of the ceiling. I repaired using anchors on a couple of screws. Later when I came home, the whole artwork had fallen to the ground. Buying this unit was penny-wise but pound-foolish. I had to rip the rail out of the ceiling. I’ll need to patch the holes and buy another system that’s more heavyweight. When I sought support they said I should use anchors, but using anchors on many small screws ends up being lots of holes in the ceiling.

I have a stone fireplace and I've wanted to put art over it for years but don't have a mantle and don't want to drill into stone. I installed this tonight and it was so easy and so many options now, I can easily make it my own mini gallery and change the art as much as I want. Really appreciate the screws, I was worried they were too small for my ceiling but they were great, if you hand turn it a few times it stays in place while you get the drill. I was able to install this solo no problem! Really love it for the price and do recommend.

Not as solid as the version in normally buy. It’s twists and isn’t rigid and straight. Smaller too. Feels like a cheap version of the next size up.
