I'm not a chemist, but the formula of this is so smooth! It's not too thick and not watery. It's perfect just like a moisturizer!Wearing spf 50 first, a hydrating oil, and this makes my face so happy! It's light and feels like silk.However, Alabaster is definitely not the shade I know Alabaster to be. It's two shades darker on my fair skin. It's so good on the face that I appear and feel younger!In opposition to the true fair shades that I applied bronzer over, I apply a hint of blush over this foundation.It's a miracle in a convenient little bottle with a pump.

I have very pale skin, and have to buy the lightest shade of foundation that isn’t white, haha. That’s why when I saw the shade “alabaster” I was like hey that might work for me! I have neutral undertones to my skin, and after applying I can see this product is definitely geared towards those with yellow undertones. It’s darker and more yellow than I’m comfortable with. There aren’t many options for shade, and this is the only one that came close to my skin tone. The foundations pumps out nicely, but it’s really thick. I use my fingers most of the time to apply foundation and this just doesn’t spread and blend easily. It dries fairly quickly. I prefer a more thin texture for my foundation. I had to go back in for more product because what I had already applied to my face had dried and wouldn’t budge. I like that it has spf, and it smells nice, and doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. However, I think for most people, there isn’t enough range in shades and the thick texture is off putting.

You get 2 bottles of this. They each come in their own outer product box. They are in plastic bottles with pump tops.This has SPF 15, which isn’t much. But even if it was high I wouldn’t recommend ever using a foundation with SPF in place of regular SPF. You’re never going to apply enough to get the stated SPF, and if you did it probably wouldn’t look too great (heavy, cakey, not melt into the skin, etc.).I got the shade #01 Alabaster. It is a great shade for my fair neutral leaning slightly cool skin.I wasn’t really sure what to expect with this. It said it was “matte,” “finishes with a glow all day,” “natural matte,” and “boosting radiance to leave skin silky smooth.” It kind of seemed like they wanted to cover every type to fit everyone, which just isn’t possible.So let me say….this is NOT matte. It is definitely a glowy/dewy foundation!-VERY liqud-y foundation.-Light coverage with 1 layer and it blends into the skin naturally. It just kind of melts into the skin. It leaves a very glowy look to the skin.-HAVE to set with powder or else it will transfer like crazy! I don’t like setting my whole face with powder. I tried setting it with a setting spray (ones I know and love) and it just didn’t work. It would help reduce the transfer, but wouldn’t completely set it like powder did.-Hard to build up, but is possible to get to medium coverage. When I first tried to build it up, it would just pick up the first layer and didn’t look good. I thought I might be able to build it up better if I let the first layer dry first and then tried to add more. But, the problem was…it never set! It never dried down! It stayed tacky and transferred. I did find if I waited about 10 min and then went in with another layer that I could get more medium coverage. But, who the heck has time to sit around waiting 10 minutes. If I tried to go in sooner, it would just lift up the layer below it. As long as I waited at least 10 min, then I could add a second layer and build it to medium. So, for me, this only works when I want a natural, light coverage.Overall, I’d recommend this if you like light coverage, glowy look, and don’t mind setting your whole face with powder. If you don’t like setting your whole face with powder, I wouldn’t recommend this because it transfers so bad without it. Since they put it was matte and medium to full coverage and it isn’t, I’m giving it 3 stars. It wears nicely with light coverage and even built up to medium (if you have 10 min to wait for the first layer to settle some) and set it with powder.

The media could not be loaded.  I have fair skin and the Alabaster tone looked like it would match my skin, however it is definitely better suited for those with yellow undertones. I used a darker finishing powder over it, and then it looked okay.I like that this includes sunscreen, and the bottle is easy to use, but it goes on a little thicker than I would prefer which emphasized the creases under my eyes.It didn’t completely cover my skin flaws but did improve them, so I would call this medium coverage.It was comfortable to wear all day and didn’t fade or smudge.This could be a good foundation if you can match the right color and prefer a thicker cream. Otherwise, I would probably go with something else.

I agonized over which shade to order - trying to match your complexion on a computer screen is hard! I have fair skin with warm undertones an ended up going with #02 Porcelain thinking I would err to the side of being too light in case it oxidized at all - and the porcelain ended up being perfect! Darker than I expected it to be, but perfect for my summertime complexion. The range of shades they currently offer look all pretty warm-toned, this may not be a good choice for cool-undertoned skin.It feels pretty thick & heavy when you pump it out of the bottle - it took FOREVER to get the pump bottle going! I apply it sparingly and blend it out with a brush and it feels nice on my skin though, not too heavy or oily. Good medium coverage that can be built up and stays put all day for me with a setting powder applied over it.I don't love the pump bottle. It feels cheap and one pump usually gives me way too much at a time - you need time to blend this stuff before it dries, you can't slather a whole pump's worth on your face at once! For the price though, and the fact that you get TWO bottles, this is a great value and I'll probably be ordering it again.
