Good basic information
Good information and I will make a few items using the information given. I'm looking for lighter, airier construction techniques, but I will put some yoga/runners bras together from this. It was well worth the money and will live on my clothes construction shelf.

Great Resource for your Sewing Library!
I remember the classes on sewing lingerie that were being conducted in the 80's. The only fabrics featured were nylon tricot. Today, there are so many other options and Karen Morris helps to open ones mind to more possibilities. I am certainly motivated to try some of her ideas for painting on fabrics and dyeing them although I will dye first then cut out, that's just my way.If you are frustrated with some of the options for pretty lingerie in stores and fitting is a problem, this book will inspire you to create your own. I really appreciate the Resource List in the back and highly recommend this book!

Always trust a Taunton Book!!!
If you are the least bit interested in constructing your own lingerie, don't waste your time on any other book, this book is the best!!Don't bother with books about nylon tricot. This book tells you about all of your fabric options. There is even information on using bed sheets! While other books stop at camisoles and half slips, Sewing Lingeries that Fits covers the mysterious subject of bra fitting and construction. And if you are into frou-frou and embellishments, there is even a section for you covering dyeing, beading, embroidery, etc. This book has lots of photos and lots of information crammed into it's 144 pages.GET THIS BOOK!!

Good resource!
This book is a great reference book for the how to construction of bras and lingerie. Morris goes into fit and pattern drafting, and provides very useful resource information for patterns and fabrics. Her description of the process and photos in the book are very clear if you have never attempted this type of garment before and you learn some advanced techniques if you sew on a regular basis.

Very easy to understand.
One in only a handful of books that teaches sewers the ins and outs of sewing lingerie. The idea of making your own bra struck fear in many sewer's hearts, but this book brings it down to a level that most people can understand.

A good book to own
Okay, I've read it though about three times and I'm planning out projects. A couple of the projects include the use of bed sheets, pillow cases, and found items from resale shops. This book has great ideas, excellent photos, illustrations and even better information about the construction of lingerie. This book is worth every cent to me.

Good book, but not the best on the subject
I bought this book because it was recommended by a sewing friend. It's not a bad book, but I was looking for something with more detailed descriptions of how to sew lingerie. I think it's a good book to have in your sewing library, but not a first nor only one. I have one of the old Singer series books on sewing lingerie that's better. It has lots of luscious photographs of how to complete steps. This book has fewer pictures demonstrating techniques, etc. As I said, not bad, but there are better books out there.

Sewing Lingerie that Fits bra making and underwear design
This book is a must for those who want to design and create their own patterns for bras and underwear. She describes many different syles of sleepwear, loungewear and undergarments. I return to this book for inspiration and information time and time again. She demos with great pictures how to make your own bra pattern and then she shows how to make the bra. She also shows a panty pattern and how to take your present panties and make a pattern from them. She has done her homework and this is an excellent resource. You won't be disapointed. Jnetti

A Nice Book of Lingerie!
This book arrived in great condition despite once having been a school book. It details all sorts of lovely techniques for the home sewer to create undies that are stylish & fit. I've yet to use the book on a project but am satisfied that I have all the help I need when I do...

Does not help with sewing or pattern work
Did not really go into construction techniques or pattern work! Seems to be just the author's personal likes and dislikes in lingerie.

Don't buy!!
It is 10 years old, but looks 50 years old. No patterns. No inspiration (unless you like the 50's). PJ's and other ugly non-sexy stuff.

Bien mais
D'après les commentaires, je m'attendais à mieux... Un chapitre traite notamment de la teinture d'un tissu chenille pour lui faire des rayures à l'aide d'une pipette ! On s'en serait passé...
