These where super easy to install I was very weary about buying them bc how cheap they where but I'm impressed

Working well on my 05 Ram truck, it never had power locks or a key hole on passenger side ( pain in my ass ) Hated this truck every time I had to unlock passenger door. Was not difficult to install, everything you need is included , extra remote too. Great value for the money

THE GOOD: It works. It locks and unlocks manual doors via the remote, which has very good range. It also locks/unlocks all other doors automatically when the driver's lock is locked/unlocked from the inside. For $25, it is a bargain THE BAD: WIRING HARNESS The factory wiring here is maddening. Rather than sending 2 wires to each door via a 'home run' from the start of the harness, they try to save money by daisy chaining. There will be a run of a few feet, then it splits like a tree branch, and splits again a few feet further down, and the wires are consequently not long enough. I recommend cutting the wires at the start of the harness and running custom lengths, so be prepared to buy a big spool of 18g stranded wire. Also, if you're using a fuse tap to wire directly to the fuse box, you can get rid of the inline fuse which is also stupidly a few feet from the receiver box NO CHIRP While this unit will flash your lights as visual confirmation, there's no audio chirp. You can purchase a cheap piezo alarm and wire one of the turn signal light flasher wires to the piezo to use for this purpose. I wired the flasher to my parking lights rather than a turn signal, so I get good visual and audio confirmation. CHEAP SCREWS The screws that connect the actuator rod to your locking rod are cheap Philips head and are hard to torque down without stripping. Replace them with socket head screws, although you might have to grind down the screw heads a bit so they don't rub against each other. NO INTERIOR SWITCH There's no switch for the driver's door armrest that locks/unlocks all doors. Instead, the unit smartly uses the action of manually locking/unlocking the driver's door to trigger all other locks. I prefer an actual switch, so I bought one for just a few dollars on Amazon. Look up "single pole double throw momentary switch" DISTANCE NOT CONFIGURABLE The actuators will most likely have a 'throw' distance that is longer than the distance your manual locks move. They need an adjustment mechanism or some physical limiter you can install to prevent it from opening too far and potentially damaging your door lock mechanism. I fabricated a couple of different ways to block how far the actuator throws, but they should have one built in. NOT BUILT FOR CABLE LOCKS For cars that use a rod mechanism to lock the doors, this kit works great. Cars that have a cable lock, like older Toyotas, are much more difficult to install and require a lot of fabrication. CAR FINDER DOESN'T WORK The directions say you can hold down the Lock/Bell/Mute button to flash your lights 15 times, but I've bought 2 kits and that feature doesn't work on either of them. VERDICT: If you're handy, go for it. Just be prepared to spend another $25 or so on wires and other parts to really make it work like it was factory.

Easy to install, function great so far, doesn't have much distance but now I can lock the doors and unlock without been at the doors.

I used these to replace the door lock system I installed in my truck 25 years ago. The wiring was the same as my 25 year old system. I was able to wire into my existing locking system with the new controller and I was able to use the 25 year old door locking solenoids. That made installation very simple. My door locks now are working great.
