Amazing!
I bought this just 5 months ago and the price has absolutely plummeted since then, that stings like hell but regardless, I'm super happy with the TV itself. I upgraded to a 4K Chromecast at the same time as I bought this but turns out I don't really need it, all the apps I used with Chromecast previously are built into the TV and work great and are all in 4K - except for HBO GO which doesn't have an app (and doesn't offer 4K anyways), and occasionally Hulu as the Hulu app will randomly have terrible stuttering issues every once in a while. Hulu doesn't do 4K via Chromecast either so really I just completely wasted my money on that upgrade. Oh well. Props to LG for having good apps. This is the first smart TV where I've been impressed with the built in OS and apps.4K content on Netflix, Amazon, and Youtube (lots of "demo" stuff on there) looks incredible on a gigantic 86" screen, especially with HDR. Holy crap!Turn off the local dimming because it's absolutely TERRIBLE, you will CRY it's so bad, but otherwise the defaults are surprisingly good. I believe the 120/240hz option was disabled by default also which is nice because who wants the soap opera effect on everything they watch? Not this guy!Last but not least, the built in speakers are surprisingly good! Turn up the bass to max in the equalizer and you'll be surprised how decent the speakers are. I do plan to get surround sound set up in the future but I'm not in a big rush since the built in sound is way better than it has any right to be.

Good overall; screen reflects more than most
I've owned two 65" and a 55" TV. I purchased this 86" model because it is bigger.Overall I'm happy with it - 86" is really big, but certainly no too big. I certainly didn't move my sofa further away (it is about 8 feet back). The biggest issue with this TV is that the screen reflects. I have a dedicated theater room with canister ceiling lights. They are super visible reflecting into this TV, which was not true with two predecessors in this same room. It's fine for watching the news, but for viewing where in the past I would have had lights on, now I shut them off.The picture quality is good, as with most modern TVs. I'm sure it is not as good as OLED in a head-to-head comparison, but as you watch this TV you certainly don't think about flaws. As I have adjusted it, the black bars below and above on movies are totally black. There is no issue with motion when watching sports. Those are two issues I've had with some TVs in the past.I like the remote and software. All I use it for is on/off, selecting input, and the NetFlicks app (which is good, and works smoothly over WiFi).

I want to like it. Its huge and looks like it will ...
I want to like it. Its huge and looks like it will be awesome. Unfortunately right out of the box the screen is cracked and the picture is a mess. Now I have to rebox it and get it ready for a return while also having to reorder the thing so that I can see if its just a fluke or if a guy can't get a ridiculously huge tv for almost 4 grand without it being broke.

Stay away if you want quality
Not sure why others have good reviews. I'm a dealer and install TV's as part of what I do. For the price it's ok. But if your looking for a good picture stay away from it. It's grainy and non 4K looks terrible. ( which is almost everything) I had my LG service center come out to a clients to look at it, and they said it's grainy and that's just the way it is. I've had to switch a few out for the 88" Samsung and the difference is night and day. Blacks are terrible on this TV. I was able to resell one of them and I'm stuck with the other.

HD TV looks great, blacks seem very good
Huge screen. HD TV looks great, blacks seem very good, obviously excels with 4K source. Highly recommended.

Stunning picture!!!! Bells and Whistles galore
Stunning picture! Has all the bells and whistles. Love seeing the "Dolby Vision" or HDR indicator show up, lets me know I'm getting my dollars worth. Netflix and Amazon buttons on the remote. Android OS allows Plex and other IPTV choices to be installed on tv.

Beautiful picture
Very nice tv, beautiful picture. Only real fault is that the screen is edge-lit meaning that you will see vertical streaks of gray when a black screen contains bright area. Also, the pointer-style remote is rather annoying. It turns itself on seemingly at random (showing a red dot on the screen in the middle of your movie). Some people can find the picture to be too clear, but that is not specific to this model and you can dial it back by playing with the picture settings.
