BT Powerline Adapters 1000 MBps 1GB Set of 2 Plugs Gigabit Networking Ethernet, White

My new smart TV is too far from my router so the wi-fi signal is insufficient for the TV to connnect to the internet. This item solves the problem easily. It consists of two connectors. One connector is plugged into a power socket near the router and connected to the router with a cable. The second connector is temporarily plugged into a power socket in the same room. Once the the two connectors have linked, the second connector is moved to a socket near the TV. It is connected to the TV with a cable and hey presto the TV has internet. The clever thing about these connectors is that they have a built in power socket. So the TV or an extension lead or anything else can be plugged into the connector.

Had a TP-Link one that got really hot, made a whining sound, and only went up to 80mbps.These BT ones work perfectly and even allowed up to 110mbps in my case!

Didn’t need item , returned very easy

Must have clicked the wrong button (!!!) because these were second hand! One unit overheated and compromised my security system. I only ever buy new stock, will be very careful ordering in future.

I tried and tried to pair these to each other but couldn't so had to return them.

Works perfectly

I did my research before this. They work, really well, i get full internet speed, no cut outs, I even got a whole monitor plugged in and it doesn't overheat or break. If anyone has problem with these is most likely because they got sent:A. Faulty onesB. Their house wiring is the issue. If you dont have specific house wiring, THESE MIGHT NOT WORK. Please do a bit of research.If you are considering buying something like this, dont worry, it actually works.

The devices arrived promptly and were well packaged.However, I spent an afternoon trying to get these adaptors to bridge a 3m Ethernet connection across a fireplace to remove an unsightly cable. Whilst they recognised the presence of ethernet, no data would flow between them. I searched all types of on-line help, BT and elsewhere, and after multiple resets, reboots and continuing failures, I gave up. Perhaps it is my home electrical cabling at fault but after deciding to return these BT adaptors, I bought a similarly priced pair of another well known make from Amazon that worked straight out of the box and gave virtually no loss of broadband speed.
