Works good
Unbelieveably clicky which is huge bonus for me. One of the buttons on the joystick was installed upside down. I just had to unscrew and flip it, but that makes me think the qc is probably dogshit. Mine worked well and it looks pretty amazing. Also its plug and play u just plug it into your laptop and it detects u can remap the buttons.

Love the buttons and USB encoder, not so much the joysticks
I picked this set because it had the classic style buttons I remember from the 80s. I was hoping I could swap the bat for a ball, but it turns out I couldn't. That's on me for not doing the research. That said, these joysticks are very awkward to use for retro games, and they don't feel very accurate at all, whether configured for 8-way or 4-way. In addition, they require at least 3.5 inches of depth for mounting, so they are not good for making low-profile arcade controllers that can rest on your lap. I'm disappointed but as I said, I'm happy with the buttons. I think maybe this style of stick is better for newer games. The USB encoder couldn't be easier to use and configure. It's perfect!

Kerchow (fast)
With this kit you are a 25$ used tv and retropie away from making an awsome arcade machine! I could've done the whole project from scratch but this kit made it light work. Just layout the buttons on a 6$ scrap wood from a home improvement store drill the holes and plug and play it was so easy.

Mediocre
I bought these for a joystick and button swap on an MVSX cabinet. The USB encoder is pretty good. The included USB cable is pretty long which is nice however the switches are horrible. Had 3 bad switches that didnt work come in with my unit. The buttons themselves arent the best either as they sometimes don't make contact with the switches all the time. The joysticks were the biggest dissapointment. They flat out dont even fit. Not only do the extra parts that make the joystick longer or shorter are useless, but I had to modify the joystick to get it to fit and even then I was unsatisfied with the fit. Your better off getting parts separately rather than together.

Solid components, preprogrammed breadboards, great value
I used this kit in my DIY arcade project. The buttons and stick are in a “Suzo” style and came with two preprogrammed breadboards, two control sticks, a decent variety of colorful buttons, and a player one and player two button, as well as the wires needed to make them work. I was impressed with the quality of the components and would definitely buy this set again. The only drawback was the instruction set was limited to two diagrams which showed assembly, but the parts themselves (particularly the breadboards) were well labeled, so it wasn’t too difficult to figure out. The entire set works perfectly with my raspberry pi setup and will look smart in my cabinet.

I created an arcade by myself and these components were good

Works, but no XInput, wires are short.
The good and the bad:Everything seems to work generally as expected, but there are some glitches and annoyances.1. The joystick emulates an analog joystick by default. This means you have to use the Mode button for games that require the D-Pad. The problem here is this kit does not have a button for the Mode switch, which really requires an LED (again, not included) to indicate the mode.2. The wires are short. Too short. I'm pretty much going to have to buy a roll of hookup wire and solder longer leads to get the wiring in place.3. This is not XInput compatible. So a bunch of games aren't going to work with it. In my case, I wanted to use it with Forza Horizon as a button box for gear shifting and other in-game controls. No joy. Forza Horizon simply doesn't detect this controller. So I ended up throwing these PCBs back in the box and ordering a keyboard encoder. The keyboard is pretty much guaranteed to work with any game, and I can assign the joysticks and buttons to any action I want by just plugging in to the jack for the key I want to use.So I'd say that this is a decent deal if you just need the switches, buttons, and joysticks, but if you want a quality joystick encoder with XInput support, I'd look for something else - maybe even buy an assembled arcade stick and pull the components.
