I was doing a control console so I ordered 30 of them ( i needed 25) .1) Three were wired backwards (Black lead positive instead of red ) and one was just plain dead.(13.3% defect rate )2) These are specified to draw 15ma. They seemed too bright, almost hurt your eyes so I checked the current and they draw 20-25ma suggesting that they have the wrong value resistor in series with the LED for 12V operation. I ended up having to add a 5.1K resistor in series with each one to get the brightness down to a tolerable level.I was under a deadline to finish this console for a customer other wise I would have sent this JUNK back..These people have NO CLUE I don't know how they sleep at night

TLDR: these can be hooked up backwards (wrong) but still produce lightLEDs by design are diodes which restrict electricity to flow in only one direction. While this product might have LEDs in it, you cannot rely on this fact in wiring. What I mean by this is that you can hook black up to + and red to - and the LEDs will still light up.I am using these LEDs to provide me with a status of negative trigger relays and are powered off of a positive trigger. Something I didn't realize, is that relay triggers can provide a small connection to the other trigger terminal through the coil which actually turns the relay on. This causes issues because even though everything still functions correctly, the LEDs can still be lit up (dimly, but still lit) when all my systems are off.This ends up causing power draw in my design even though it normally wouldn't have. In 98% of situations, this wouldn't be an issue since usually something is 100% on or off. But in this case, it will just end up running my battery down if I let it...

Bright, simple to install, long enough leads. Many 12 vt automotive applications, used two on my motorhome as indicators for live or activated circuits such as bay heater and propane solinoid valve activation.

Last thing you want is too bright of indicator light on your panel. These tiny led indicators are perfect for most needs.

They enhance the rear of my scooter a little and may purchase more in the future to install, somewhere

They look nice but cervical not waterproof.The cables on the back start pulling out already.They look nice so I kept them on only for the looks but not operational.

Worked great for the Halloween project we had. Perfect amount of light and easy to install.
