These are wonderful steel rulers. Very stiff and the best part is that they start measuring right at the end. I hate those rulers that have about 1/8'' or so of space until the increments start. Plus they're longer then 12'' or 6'' to provide a hole to hang them. Both of them have the decimal equivalents displayed on the back. The lines are engraved not pained on. Really, an excellent product for a great price.

Rigid metal rulers with clear markings and, on the back of the 12-inch ruler, various conversion tables. I just needed straight edges for calendar and projects, but nice features. Only surprise is that the "carrying case" is just the packaging sleeve, not an actual case. If you cut off the hang tag, I guess you could store the rulers in the sleeve, but it's too flimsy to be useful to me. Since I ordered for the rulers only, I don't care. Just mentioning it in case someone wanted a case and, like me, didn't look carefully at the picture.

I bought this to have in my office where I often try to measure something to order or fix something. This are accurate and easy to read. This is a measure from end ruler. rather than the plastic ruler that you had to start offset from end. I remembered my dad had one when I was growing up that was always on his desk with cork on the back. I wish I had bought something like this sooner. Makes measuring so much easier than some of the cheap free ruler. Would recommend. These come in a sleeve, the adhesive from the sticker was easy to remove. I like to have both ruler for the small and medium objects that I measure. The sleeve hold both securely. Would recommend.

These heavy-duty rulers are wonderfully stout without being too heavy. The rule measures begins exactly at the end of the bar. The millimeter and centimeter units are there: some things advertised as "metric" turn out only have inches divided into 1/10ths and 1/20ths. So this had all the things I needed. I'll give these 4 rather than 5 stars because the metric scales are a little hard to read. The 0.5mm markings are fairly long so you have to look pretty far back to tell if you are looking at a 0.5mm or 1mm line. It takes, for example, a real careful look to tell if something is 7mm, 7.5mm, or 8.0mm. Not a show-stopper, but not a perfect 5-star item either.

Perfect collegiate quality; good for drafting. Thick metal, unlike the thin metal rulers other sellers list that are malleable strips from tape measure manufacturing. This will last decades without cracking or peeling as do plastic rulers. The edges are perfect for guiding a utility knife if you craft. It's perfect for running a pen or pencil along the edge too without getting the ridges in your line from the measuring marks, as they are inlaid rather than raised. The cover is bright green avocado when not in direct light.

The rulers are solid and they're well balanced. I know the holder is a bonus here and I almost gave the rulers one less star for it because it might as well not exist. It's so cheap, flimsy and thin that the slightest move can tear it. I can't see it holding up on an average DIY project let alone something more heavy-duty.

Exceptionally nice measuring tools. The markings are embossed as opposed to being printed on where they are susceptible to being damaged or even removed by certain solvents. The rulers are much thicker than I suspected they'd be and the decimal/fraction conversion chart on the back is just icing on the cake. For the pittance they are asking for this high quality set there is no reason why EVERY shop doesn't have several of these. My order was missing the smaller of the two rulers but Tarvol's customer service is first rate and handled the problem quickly and courteously. Order a set today...better yet order 3 sets today.

Good sturdy rulers. I mostly use them as a straight edge for drawing shop projects. The 12 inch ruler is off by about a 64th inch.
