A nice cookbook, not too complex, with some extra dinner party menus
In the Introduction to this cookbook from Gaby Dalkin, she explains that after the birth of her daughter she wanted to focus on recipes that didn’t require as much cooking and preparation time but were still delicious. This book aims to provide dozens of recipes that are simple enough to make, so that you can spend more of your time with family, or just doing the things that are most important to you.The recipes are divided into the following sections, with eight regular categories and four Dinner Party menus:Kick Start the Day (Breakfast) – 11 recipesI Need Dinner + I Need It Now – 8 recipesSalads + Other Things to Eat in Bowls – 8 recipes~Peak Summer Vibes Dinner Party – 6 recipesThe Ultimates – 12 recipesPizza, Pasta + a Few Other Carbs – 10 recipes~Italian Dinner Party – 6 recipesSides – 7 recipes~Al Pastor Dinner Party – 4 recipesDecadent Things – 10 recipes~Spring Roll Party – 4 recipesSauces + Things – 21 recipesMost of these recipes are fairly simple, as the point of this book is to spend as little time cooking and preparing as possible. Almost all the recipes (other than the sauces) have pictures of the finished product, so you have an idea of what to expect. There aren’t many amazingly unique recipes or unconventional surprises here, but it is still a nice collection of ideas for faster delicious meals.

Easy Recipes to Follow
I'm really happy that I bought this cookbook. I haven't used it yet, but I sat down and went through it for another 15 minutes to see if I thought that I would want to keep it. Most definitely. Also I like hard cover books, and this is so nice.

Another Gaby hit
Overall, it's a great cookbook, and I'll make many recipes from here. Do note that some of the sauces and dressings in the back are repeats of other books, but it makes sense as they are used in recipes here, and you might not have the prior book. There's also A LOT of cheese in the recipes. I don't eat cheese, but I know Gaby does, so wasn't a surprise to me. I can usually do a work around, but wanted to mention this in case not as familiar with her recipes and would be an issue. (And for most people, that’s probably a selling point!)

I am a huge fan of all of Gaby's Cookbooks and this one is amazing. As a family, we make at least 3 of her recipes a week and I have given her cookbooks as gifts to friends/family. If you want to change up your cooking or if you just need new ideas, get Take it Easy and then go buy all her other cookbooks too.Sunday we made the Crab Cake Salad, last night we had Vodka pasta, tonight Bean and Cheese Enchiladas tomorrow BBQ Chicken Salad and Thursday, Hamburger Helper Pasta....it's What's Gaby Cooking week for us!Bonus, we met her in DC two weeks ago and she is as cute and sweet as her pictures!

Another winner
Gaby is one of my favorite cookbook authors/cooks to follow on Instagram and on her blog. The food in her cookbooks is always flavorful, the ingredient lists contain recognizable products I can get at my local market, and are easy to execute. The food is flavorful and the cookbook photos are beautiful.

Great flavors and Easy to Make Dishes
I have long followed Gaby and love her books. This new book does not disappoint. Most of the recipes are , as promised, easy to do or assemble but deliver fabulous taste. The Dinner Party Menus are a welcome addition as I sometimes struggle to put together a complete meal for guests. Although some of the recipes are riffs on old favorites, Gaby has given them her own twist. As i said to begin with, this new cookbook does not disappoint! And its arriving just in time for holiday gifting!

LOVE these recipes!
Honestly - how does Gaby keep doing it?! Cookbook #3 and it’s just incredible. Take It Easy is seriously going to be a staple cookbook in my kitchen - the recipes are so fresh and light, very intuitive, and really shine with Gaby’s personality. My husband always teases me because every Sunday when I plan for the grocery store I have a Gaby cookbook out! I can’t wait to make my way through this entire cookbook and love all of her commentary. Highly recommend!!

Gaby is the GOAT of cookbook writers
Gaby's cookbooks are filled with fun, delicious recipes that always delight me, my husband & all our many dinner guests. This cookbook takes it to another level with the way the recipes all compliment each other so you can stock up your kitchen with some staples and make many, many recipes. I've already made over 10 recipes and have had the book for a week and a half. Another selling point, the photos are GORGEOUS. They make motivated to cook these recipes.

More of the best!
When I saw that Gaby was coming out with another cookbook, I knew I had to pre-order it!This book does not fail to impress with its array of bright and vivacious recipes. A good variety of mains, salads, pastas, desserts! Everything looks so delicious and doable. These recipes look like restaurant style food but easy enough to make at home. Each recipe has a color picture (yay!)I know for sure I'll be making a good amount of salads (they look very filling) and the pastas too. Some of the recipes can be rich (creams, oils, cheeses) so they aren't ones that I'll be doing every week. I wish for the pizza section she included a recipe for dough but that's easy enough to find in other cookbooks or online. These recipes are definitely geared towards adults. Some of them could be family friendly but I could see children (picky eaters) not liking a lot of the ingredients unless you've gotten them accustomed to a variety of tastes. If you LIKED her previous recipes, you're gonna LOVE this book. She builds upon what is already there and kicks up the variety and ease by notches. This one is a keeper. Can't wait to start cooking!Edit: Decided to make her Sesame Ginger Chicken Salad. When comparing the image to the actual ingredients, I was like... What. She calls for black rice. In the image provided, she does not use black rice. She also adds red cabbage and other ingredients that are not on the list. That was misleading and confusing.

Another delicious collection of recipes from Gaby!
Book just arrived so I’ve only had the chance to make 1 recipe so far…. Last night I made the “Herby Shallot Vinaigrette”. Set aside a bunch for salad dressing and then brushed it on some chicken before putting it into the oven. Wow- so much flavour!!!I have all of Gaby’s other books and this one absolutely delivers on accessible ingredients, max flavour (love that she includes so many herbs in her recipes!!), and easy execution. I also enjoy that so many of her recipes can easily handle substitutions, whether it be using up extra ingredients before spoiling or subbing a less fav herb/ingredient in for another. (Cilantro and feta hater here. Sorry!)Recipes I’m most excited to make include:The S’more PizookieReverse Sear SteakLinguine al LimoneCacio e Pepe FlatbreadMeaty Mascarpone PastaBest Ever BologneseCacio e Pepe FocacciaBbq chicken chopped saladPerfect Banana BreadAnd the list goes on!!I often have extra copies of Gaby’s books on hand to give as hostess gifts, or thank you gifts. People love her recipes!!Thanks for another 10/10 Gaby! 💕
