I would recommend that this item only be used as a humidifier. I would not recommend it be used as a diffuser for essential oils and here is why: the product description states to "use only water soluble essential oils." If you are new to essential oils, please be aware that there is no such thing as water soluble essential oils. Water and oil do not mix so if you put a true essential oil in this item it will float at the top of the device and over time eat away the plastic (which is not BPA free) and fail to function. Also, if you are looking to purchase this item to diffuse essential oils, it does not have a timer. It runs continuously either until you turn it off or it runs out of water. Diffusing should be done intermittently and this item does not allow you to do that.This unit also has filter pads that do not seem to be replaceable. I would be concerned that this would be cause for scents to mix and omit unwanted fragrances as well as harbor bacteria.With that being said, if you are looking to use this item as a humidifier, it functions well for this purpose. The USB cord that comes with it is a decent length. The power functions well. You have the option to run the unit with a soft blue light glowing or with no light at all. The cool mist output is very generous and runs quietly. It is easy to take apart and clean however the internal wick seems to be very delicate and there is no way to change the filter attached to it but at the price, that's to be expected.Overall, for the price, this is a decent compact and portable humidifier with good output that runs quietly.***Editing to add that the instruction manual that comes with this also states to not add essential oils. Product arrived quickly and in excellent condition. I was kind of concerned that there were no instructions when I couldn'tget it to work at first. But after wiggly the top it managed to come on and actually puts out a good amount of cool mist. This is amust for my dry eye condition at work on the computer all day.!

I originally gave it 3 stars because you have to refill it often, however it just completely stopped working. The light is on but nothing comes out so I had to come back and change it to 1 star. I haven't even had it a month.

Worked perfect the first night. I took the top off to add more water and the stick that pulls water into the top of the humidifier broke into pieces, as though it was disintegrating. Didn’t work after that - I returned it for a refund. Very disappointed.

I got this for the car. It works easily, and I like the power cord better than th elast one I had which was a USB phone type plug which broke twice. This is much more sturdy. However, some times I feel like it's on but isn't producing any mist. But, most of the time it is.

Diffuser worked for about two days then stopped. I'm not satisfied with this product at all. Possible could be just this one in specific, but still not happy it quit working.

Worked the first couple days, maybe an hour total used each day then it sropped working. Only the light would come on

Very disappointed! I never write reviews but then again I have never purchased something that only lasted 4 hours! DO NOT BUY!! Used it once and it worked beautifully. Tried to use it the next day and it won't work. Do not waste your money!!

I bought this for my husbands truck. All his friends comment how nice his truck smells.Great gift for the man you never know what to buy for.
