Bah Kut Teh’ - is a Chinese medicinal herb spice soup. This famous dish originated from Mr Lee Boon Teh from Klang, Malaysia. He was selling his stewed Bak Kut (bone & meat) innovatively by adding some Chinese medicinal herbs which later turned out to be a local favorite and since then known with the nickname Bak Kut Teh (‘Teh’ being his last name which means place in Chinese in homonym with another ‘teh’ means tea in Yong Chun dialect). ‘Kee Hiong’ - a brand name established by Mr Lee Boon The’s children. His son has further improve the recipe by formulating the Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh which is consist of over ten types of traditional herbs that give the dish its own special taste and aroma that is unforgettable..…. Kee Hiong Bak Kut Teh become a very famous Bak Kut Teh Restautant in Klang Malaysia, with restaurant across Malaysia and Singapore. ‘Kee Hiong’ now is now serving in 1.2oz (35g) sachet.
