Can I rinse rice in this colander?

Yes it will not fall through. The mesh is so fine that even quinoa doesn't fall through either. I use it all the time for rinsing rice.

Is the mesh fine enough to use with quinoa?

Coffee grounds won't go through. It's that fine. It's nice an large. 10.5 wide. It stands by itself.

I'm not positive what grade it is . It's stailnless steel and hasn't rusted on me as of yet. I have rinsed quinoa in it and it hasn't fallen through.

Seller, this page doesn't list mesh size, not even to call it fine medium or coarse. What is the mesh size?

I did a thread count and I estimate it is between size 23 and size 25. (Between 900 and 700 micron) I measured the space between threads at around 0.7mm, so this would count as "fine" mesh.
