Nut and washer not Stainless Steel
Nut and washer not stainless steel. Curt we want a stainless steel nut and washer to go with the stainless steel ball.

No point of having a stainless ball if the hardware is plain plated steel
The bolt and lock washer, which are a big part of this, are not stainless. NO POINT of having a SS ball if everything else around is rusting away. Crap item for the price, wish I could return, but I noticed while installing.

Stainless Steel is way to go
I bought this after the chrome was wearing off my last hitch ball (yes, lubed). Stainless steel was more expensive, actually double the price, but this is so well built and I doubt I will get metal flakes like I had with the chrome now since it’s solid stainless. I’ve driven almost 3000 miles towing with it already. I should’ve bought this to begin with.
