This storage item holds my lifestraw securely and sanitarily in my backpack, weight is not an issue, size is convenient and I can put a bottle of water purification tablets in with the straw. I recommend it.

I have purchased a third party case for the LifeStraw and it works well. The nice thing is this is made by LifeStraw, and it is slightly cheaper than the third party one. It fits the LifeStraw nicely, and it is the best way to go after using the water filter. Often times when I take a drink from questionable water and I blow it out, there is some residual water that leaks in your pack. Sure, a zip lock bag to put the straw in is a great option, but this keeps it dry, as well as nice and tidy in your pack.One recommendation is after a trip of using the water filter or even during the trip, let the case dry out to minimize any molding. I rinse it in clean water and let it dry.This is a good way to keep things organized and dry in your pack when you are on a trip with questionable water that you have to drink for a hike through or a long trek.I hope this helps.

This provides the most perfect protection for the life straw, especially in a big hiking bag that has a lot of items. I dropped my bag hiking in the white mountains and my straw survived because of this.
