A great vacuum
A great 8 gallon vacuum unit. Rolls nicely in the house! Quality made, good size. Good suction at 6 hp. Does better than the 4.5 that I already have. I did not get the paper blue filter template with black plastic filter retaining ring in my order, was wondering if those items should be in the box. My only concern is that my daughter and I see that the electrical cord is a bit short, does not reach across the room. And yes, the hose is a bit thin, hope it holds up and does not crack.

It work well for a little machine. The only thing is the hose is soft and kinks quickly.

Horrible customer service
After 8 months this vacuum stopped working. After contacting Shopvac, they stated they would replace the item. Then completely gave me the run around and after about 6 emails I decided to give up. But I definitely will tell anyone that willlisten....DO NOT BUY SHOPVAC!!!! I know I won't.Update....DON'T BUY SHOPVAC!!! RIDGID IS WAY BETTER!!!.Update....I have another ShopVac identical to this one and it just died also. I had to laugh. I wasn't even using it. It had been in the garage for weeks and I went to turn it on and it was dead. Tossed it right in the trash! I'm so happy to not have any ShopVac products in my possession!!! Total garage products and even worse customer service. Never again.Update 10/13/23 SHOPVAC SUCKS!!!Update: Did I mention Shopvac sucks and their customer service is even worse!
