Yes, as ladder manufacturers create new profiles, we plan to create new profiles of product to fit. As well, there are many older ladders that have profiles we are unaware of, so it’s very appreciated when people like yourself let us know what they need.

Can extension be lowered all the way with ladder bodyguard on ?

All pairs are 12” long and when clipped onto the side rails, they will slide to and occupy the last 12” near the top of the ladder when it is lowered. They can remain in place if it is not important to lower the ladder a few more inches.

The best way to know if it will fit an unlisted ladder type is to look at the dimensional images of the Ladder Bodyguard profiles and then measure your ladder to see if the product profile will fit. The rail face width is most important - either 25 or 30 mm wide for aluminum extension ladders. The other dimensions are less important but the offset is important. Either centered or off centered profiles are available to fit whatever ladder you have.

my rails are 1 3/8" will this fit?

Presently, the products we have only fit 1” and 1 1/8” wide rail widths - we are developing a product that will fit every size and type of ladder to accommodate.
