Books are what they are.
This is a truly fun book. The mistake a lot of people make with books is expecting to much. Look at the publication date. The latest computer aided analysis of your favorite opening will NOT be in here. What you will find is:1. Typical opening mistakes, pawn chasing, premature attacks, greed etc., punished.2. Some older forgotten lines of play that you can enjoy, and maybe punish an opponent with.3. Basic tactics in openings you do not currently play but, may be inspired to take up.4. Mating patterns in the early stage of a game.5. A whole lotta fun!!Now if you have a problem with the good old descriptive notation well, get over it!You are missing a goldmine of information out there because you are to lazy to learn it. Your loss.

Does Not use up to date notation
I can work with it, but it is not written in current chess notation.

Great book
Lots of great examples. I'm still going through the book for the first time. I'll probably go through it several times.

Vecchia notazione - Non consigliato
Molto difficile da leggere (ma non impossibile).Costa poco per cui non lo restituisco, tuttavia consiglio di acquistare libri con notazione algebrica, molto più semplice da leggere..

Notation des parties obsolètes
This book use the descriptive notation instead of the algebraic one. A real headache, if you are not familiar with this notation.

Good book on Traps
This is a good book on traps by studying them very closely you'll avoid becoming a victim in your games you may be told by strong players not to try for traps because your opponent will avoid them that's true but if you study the traps in Chernev's book and how to apply them say 7 different ways your opponent didn't consider you'll still have a shot at getting them by surprise. The key for good trapping is timing them right and being patient
