Incense Sticks - Wisteria by Nippon KODO, Japanese Quality Incense

Ngl this purchase was heavily inspired by Demon Slayer. I feel secure after I burn it, but that's a me thing. Outside of anime, it has a full floral scent and plenty of trailing smoke to watch. It so fills the room that it seems like an indoor garden.

If you're accustomed to the regular (and cheaper) Nippon Kodo incense sticks, which come 200 to a box, be prepared for a very different experience. These Kayuragi sticks are much, much stronger. I have a two-story house and usually burn five or six sticks of the regular Nippon Kodo incense downstairs (the fragrance wafts upstairs) to scent my 2,000 sf house. With these Kayuragi incense sticks, two sticks downstairs was all it took. (They fit in the same small holder as the regular Nippon Kodo incense, and you get one of these small holders in the Kayuragi box as well.) The wisteria fragrance is an elegant true floral with a powdery undertone. I will be ordering more of it. It won't replace the regular Nippon Kodo incense, which I still like, but will supplement it. One thing I've learned to do is fill a small votive candle holder with salt (1/2-inch), and stick the fragile Nippon Kodo incense sticks into it as a quick way of standing them up. When the incense burns down to the level of the salt, the stick simply stops burning. The salt does not catch on fire or smoke, and there is no burning smell from the salt. This is handy when you want to burn several sticks at the same time. It also allows you to have the sticks, when lit, sit perfectly vertical, with none of the slight lean you get if you use the small ceramic burners that come with the incense. I can get a couple of weeks out of a single votive candle holder's worth of salt. Works well for me, thought I'd pass it on.

The smell was very nice. It was strong enough for the odor to remain in my room. But not to an extent that the smell would become unpleasant or annoying. Love it! Definitely will order again

I really like the scent but beware, they break easily so as long as you handle them with care you're good. One plus is, because they break easily, you can resize them for any mood or look.

This is a very pretty and pure floral fragrance, with little to no woody or smokey base scent to it. Japanese incense tends to give off a lot less smoke than Indian incense, and is a good choice if you want something lighter. I am usually not a fan of floral incense because it either misses the mark on what the flower smells like and just the base comes through, or worse, has a chemical smell layered on top of the base. But I love this Wisteria because it really does smell floral in a natural way. I think it is fairly strong for a Japanese incense - it actually wafted all throughout the large room in which I lit it - but did not feel heavy. This is my favorite of the Nippon Kodo Kayuragi fragrances. And I think it is better than everything in the Nippon Kodo Morning Star line.

Super fast delivery and a wonderful smell. It is slightly powdery and floral but clean and understated. Perhaps it doesn't smell exactly like wisteria (I don't know the particular smell very well myself) but it is indeed a fine and pleasant smell. Not very smokey and it came with a nice little tile to hold the burning incense stick. I would order it again for sure. I can sit right next to the burning stick with no problems. I wish they made a bigger box!

I purchased Wisteria along with the Jasmine scent and prefer the Wisteria much more. It is a spicy yet pleasant scent that fills the entire room but only the room, NOT the entire house. This would be great for a small apartment and I found that the scent lasts hours after burning.Burn duration from the time I lit one until it burned to the end was 26 minutes.

Beautiful fragrance that lingers in the air for a long time.

Not a very sophisticated perfume for the cost of item . I disappointed.
