The media could not be loaded.  I am glad I stumbled across this chef’s knife when I was searching on Amazon, turned out to be the best bang for my buck. It came in a very beautiful and premium quality gift box; I was impressed with their presentation. The gift box contains the chef knife, metallic soap, and a pretty nice thank you card. There were also two silica gel bags to absorb any moisture, that I think gives it a very nice touch. I was very much impressed with the packaging especially the gift box and decided to take bunch of pictures so I could post those pictures with the review for everyone to see how beautiful it is.Starting with the handle which is very nicely polished fits in my hand very well. The handle is designed ergonomically as IDEELAND claimed in their product title and description. The bolster design is also perfect. It doesn’t slip at all while prepping the meal which is one of very important aspects in a chef knife. The blade is extremely sharp and cuts through vegetables, fruits and meat just like I am cutting butter. Above all, this chef knife is very lightweight which gives it a good balance, no more figure numbness. I especially like this knife because of this feature. The blade and handle size are perfect in my opinion. We have quite a few other kitchen knives but this one is going to be my go to knife from now on as it makes meal prep so easy. I would imagine this chefs knife is better than most of the expensive Damascus Japanese chef knife sets out there.My wife loves to cook and she is extremely happy with this purchase so we will strongly recommend buying this knife so stop looking around and just buy this knife, you will be as happy as we are. We have kitchen knife set from kitchen aid and the knives in that set looks very dull in front of this knife (even the ones we have still not used. The blade is wider than our kitchen aid chef knife which makes it easier to cut through most of the stuff easily. You must be careful using this knife as this is extremely sharp.GREAT VALUE for our money and I think I am going to buy few more as a gift for friends and family who like cooking.

Decent over time

Ok, you, like me, want the bottom line. Is this worth my time and money? Does it live up to its claims? The short answer is yes and no.Here are the Pro's:1. Packaged professionally2. Very lightweight3. Sturdy handle4. Sharp out of the boxCons:After only 3 days, it began to dull quickly. I hardly cut anything major during those 3 days and I handwashed in between. I also noticed a small chip in the blade and the blade is stained now. Strange.Now, for the crucial part. Customer service. I received one of those emails you get after an Amazon purchase, you know the automated, hey hope you like our product type? Well, I responded to it and honestly, the communication from this company is so far, outstanding. They are really quick to answer, not only that but have offered to replace my knife. I hope they will make good on that offer and I will be updating my review to reflect how it ultimately works out.In the meantime, please check out my pics. I will try to capture the chip but my cell is not the best for photos. I have a video but it will not upload. I also will say that I am still impressed with this knife. It is much better than others I've tried at higher price points and I'm thinking I truly got one of those lemons that just happens sometimes. I'm willing to give them another chance for sure!UPDATE!! Ok, so after letting Customer Service know what was going on, a wonderful employee named Usman contacted me and sent out another knife, free. It arrived Priority mail, well packaged like the first. Unfortunately I cannot say that it was better, it was actually more dull than the first. Still, the fact that they stand by their product so much and are eager to help speaks VOLUMES!! I have ordered a knife sharpener that is hopefully better than the one I have and will have to update again to say what kind of impact it has on the new knife. Customer Service gets a zillion stars....quick to respond, eager to please, willing to do whatever it takes to make their customers happy. Quality of knife 3.5 stars pending what a sharpener will do going forward. Sharpener will arrive Monday so I'll update again after that, today being Saturday.I can't believe I forgot to update! It's 1/30/19 and I still have the knife and it's going well. The sharpener was the key! Once my sharpener came in, I followed the instructions and gave my knife a good sharpening. Presto!! Perfect and super sharp! I do recommend this knife but make sure you get a sharpener, you will need about every 2-3 weeks depending on how much you use the knife. I use mine almost daily so frequent sharpening is necessary.Bottom line:1. Great knife if sharpened.2. Buy with a sharpener3. Only hand wash as dishwashers will dull and wreck your blade.4. Well made, heavy duty.5. Slightly awkward for smaller hands but I still use it.

At first this knife was great on cutting partially frozen meat, but it dulled quickly. Not recommended
