Works!! Easy to use and easy transport. It puts pressure on bottom of door. In a normal door it works great. We used it on an old antic door at a rental and it worked but if the door could be pushed at top a little. I think that is more of an antic door and very old door frame. We felt very safe during all of our travels at multiple locations with this door jam. Most rentals don’t have an extra lock. This is the solution. Stores easily.

This travel doorstop is small and relatively lightweight, and it comes in a little bag so it’s easy to place anywhere in your luggage. What surprised me was how easy it is to set it up and how strong this little doorstop is. As a female who travels alone, this will give me a feeling of more security while in my hotel/Airbnb room. I tried several other travel, doorstops and this was the only one that was easy to use and held well.

The piece that slips under the door frame kept moving lateral. Perhaps if that piece was somewhat wider would lessen that movement. Other wise it is an added layer of security.

Debated on which type of travel security lock to buy, but finally ended up with this item. I couldn’t have been more satisfied! It’s a nice weight and size, and I liked the included drawstring bag which made it easy to pack in my luggage. It is reasonably priced, and worked great for 4 overnight stays (with both carpet and hard floors), including one motel door. Although I didn’t actually test the unit by having someone push the outside of the door, I wasn’t able to open any of them once it was screwed down tightly to the floor.This lock seems to be well made, and I would anticipate it will be useful for many trips in the future.

I bought two of these. I am giving it only 3 stars because it will only work on certain types of doors, it will not work on all doors.We had an active shooter alert at work the other day. It ended up being a false alarm, but it was terrifying. We hid in a storage room that had NO lock. We were just praying that we could hold the door.Now I am traumatized, and that evening I found this item to perhaps give me some peace of mind. I purchased two- one for my work and one for home.The one for work, works great. The door is a "normal" type door and the flooring is carpeted so when i adjusted it, it adjusted very tightly and the door is NOT going to open. I tried it in our work restroom as well and it worked fine. I noticed though that BOTH doors have no kind of lip, threshold, bottom rail whatever you want to call it.Now for home- I thought to use it for my front door to give some extra security. The front door is raised, because the threshold/bottom rail is raised as well. The floor on the inside is tile. I would say it was several inches from the floor to the bottom of the door, and it is angled. I put it under the door and unscrewed the little thing until it was almost at the end and it still would not hold my door. I guess for doors with large threshold/railings, this item will not work. I was very disappointed because I thought this was a great idea. I guess I need an extra long one for my door. It never occurred to me that it wouldn't work at my home.

Works well on our front door

Takes a minute to find the correct position for the height of my door. Once I found it it was very effective in keeping the door from opening. Potential problem is if you need to barricade yourself for safety very quickly and you don't predetermined the position needed, it can take a lot of time to get it correct and any potential threat may be able to breach the door. I recommend playing with the device position ahead of time if you may need to quickly barricade.
