My granddaughter loved it!

Bought this book alongside many supplies for our new beardie, and I'm glad that I did. It was full of a lot of useful info for raising a baby bearded dragon and had lots of good husbandry tips for the adults as well. The only reason it isn't getting 5 stars is because I still felt like I was missing a lot of information about substrates. The book tells you all the reasons they don't like different kinds, but never really gives advice on a good one to use besides paper towels, which our beardie makes a mess of or burrows into. There's no discussion on bioactive enclosures either.

It’s a great book for the most part my son will read to understand how to take of a bearded dragon. Once we both read it I will start buying what’s need to keep a dragon at home.

I've got both the first and second editions of this manual, and can say that hands-down, for reading pleasure, I prefer the second. It's got a far more conversational tone to it, more anecdotes that pet owners would find appealing, and more photos. I did deduct a point because I feel that the section on feeding could be a bit more comprehensive and expanded - there's a magnificent website that I use as my go-to for dragon feeding instead - but on the whole, this is a great starting point for a new beardie owner. My dragon, Figment, has been raised largely on the advice from this text and from the excellent forum BeardedDragon.org and I haven't had a moment's concern about him since I brought him home.

This is a great book to have if you own or are thinking of owning a bearded dragon. The pics are great, lots of color and high quality. The information inside is priceless! I already read and figured out how to keep my beardie Missie from being constipated all the time. There’s so much great info in here, and even if you already have experience with beardies, you can still learn from and enjoy this book. Definitely glad I got it, and definitely recommend.

Nice book, colorful, a lot of pics and good basic and interesting info. But there is a LOT on breeding and frilled dragons or something.....we didn't need half of the info in here for our new beardie. I suggest talking to small business owned pet shops, they usually have good info. Avoid big chain stores info. Also binging FB groups and looking online for info. So far everything from this book and the internet varies depending where you get it. So...you know, research other places but this is a good start.

Great book. Very informative about many topics ranging from illness to behaviour to breeding. Lots of pictures too. It is written by authors who have studied and raised bearded dragons for many years.I bought this book because my daughter got a bearded dragon and although she'd done a lot of research before hand, we still wanted professional information and advice that wasn't necessarily contradicted by other dragon owners.This book was also highly recommended on some forums I had been reading.

I've had a bearded dragon for nearly 5 years but brought this for my 8 year old daughter so she understands more about how much work a pet can be and the importance of how to look after them correctly. It's more of a book for adults but we sit down together if she has any questions. Good book definitely recommend.

This has been an invaluable almost go to all the time book. It has answered many questions and has also assisted when our Dragon was ill. It helps with food ideas and enrichment for the Dragon.Really worth more than it costs!!

Lovely looking product, full of great information. I decided not to get a bearded dragon so I sent it back no questions asked. I think it would be a great book for people who wish to get a bearded dragon.

Bought for my Grandson for his new pet boy Charlie who turned out to be a girl! Lots of pictures for him to look at but I think he will need an adult to read it with him. That's the only reason I gave it 4 stars otherwise a 5.
