Bee House (Zero Japan) Bee House Salt Box - Artichoke

These are great additions to my counter top by my range. I have 6, all different colors, and I have 6 different salts to choose from, although one could put in other seasonings too. The one hand operation of opening, grabbing some salt as I cook, and closing in one motion is really nice design. The colors are not too strong. If had a complaint, wish for more eye popping colors. But these are fine. They look very nice and stackable. Also the handle is nice to have too when moving around.

We’ve been using this salt box for about eight months and it really works great. Keeps the salt dry and plenty of room for my big hand to reach into the box. Only complaint I have is it’s now a bit cheaper, go figure.

I was a bit off put by the price, but caved because of the recommendation from channels like bon appetit and also an annoyance of having to grab the salt from the cabinet and carefully pour for every meal. It's the kind of thing that is hard to see how you dealt without it before. If you're wondering if you should get something that will hold your salt and is easily accessible while you cook, you should definitely get one. It doesn't have to be this one, but it is good looking and does the important thing I can ask for which is not make me think about it while I cook.

Purchased this as a gift for my girlfriend. We cook often and so far this has functioned as intended and had been pretty easy to clean (thai ice tea didn't even stain the wood when it splashed on it). I have big hands and am easily able to reach the bottom of the container, and the lid lip makes it easy to lift even if your hands are dirty.We also have people over for dinners often and we have gotten many compliments on how cute the salt box.

The dish is very attractive and easy to get into with your hands (large opening that is on top rather than side like salt pigs). I use it for storing diamond salt so that I can just grab salt as I need it for seasoning meats.
