The Force Unleashed: Star Wars Legends

Awesome story between Ep III & Ep IV...should be a series!!
Wasn't sure I would like this one, but after seeing highlights of the game on YouTube, I knew I had to read this one, stories set between "Sith" & "A New Hope" haven't been weighed on as much, so natually I found this story appealing, becasue this story is taking place at the same time as "Death Star" & the "Han Solo Trilogy" books, I worried about conflicts in continuity, but I could spot none, all three are seperate stories inter woven very nicely, In this one Darth Vader has a secret apprentice who he instructs to wipe out any surviving Jedi, the apprentice fulfills this mission as he is sent to kill two surviving Jedi on desolate planets, one of the Jedi has built a amatuer-like temple where he has created manneqiuns in the form of his fallen Jedi comrades, it is a scene right out of Will Smith's "I am Legend" no doubt & he is soon facing off with Starkiller(the apprentice) they fight a good fight but the aging Jedi is no match, Starkiller also tracks down another Jedi in hiding Rahm Kota who he fights a violent fight with, but Kota too has been out of the game too long & is blinded by Starkiller, but is spared, when Starkiller is betrayed by Vader after completing his tasks, he suddenly becomes an anti-hero of sorts, he is piloted by the beautiful Imperial officer Juno Eclipse who is also taken prisoner by the Empire after Starkiller is betrayed & tortured, but is rescued by Starkiller who has developed a fondness for her, he also seeks out Rahm Kota again this time for his assistance in helping bring down Vader & the Emperor, throughout this journey he has a breif encounter with Princess Leia who is apparently awaiting the Death Star plans transmission as well as Bail Organa later on who he tries to help only to discover that Darth Vader is one step ahead of him & has used him to lead him & a legion of stormtroopers to a secret rebel meeting involving Bail & many other delegates, they are all taken prisoner by Vader who once again betrays Starkiller leaving him for dead, Vader then takes Bail & the Rebel delegates to the still unfinished first Death Star where the Emperor plans to execute them personally, but Starkiller ever so resilent is picked up by Juno & they descend to the Death Star where Starkiller sneaks aboard & manages to save Bail & everyone else just in the nick of time which results in a stand off with Darth Vader who he has an intense duel with after Vader is ordered by the Emperor to finish what he started, Starkiller definately gives Vader a mean fight so much that Vader's helmet is knocked off revealing the scarred Anakin & his suit torn to shreads, now I know why the newer suit at the end of "Sith" isn't the one in "A New Hope", the difference in Vader's siut is explained here, this is a cool story & Starkiller is one cool anti-hero, WWE professional wrestler Randy Orton could play him in a film no doubt, beacuse he looks like the character, Scarlett Johansson would be perfect as Juno Eclipse simply beacuse she looks like the character & John Malkovich would be perfect as Rahm Kota, unfortunately it will never happen, but they would be perfect in the casting dept, this one ends fairly well without much of a cliffhanger & doesn't mess with continuity, I fear the second one does, haven't read it yet, but this one is a good stand alone story.

At Last the Story Can be Told... My Revised Review. Spolier Warning Inside
This Book Is the Ultimate Star Wars Novel Tying together A Lot of missing Continuity Facts. Now the Story can be told as I update my review. The Book must be read. If you have the Game and get through it, most of the story will be told and with Unbelievable Graphics. The Graphic Novel tells the Basic Story, but is an east read to get the basic Idea. Although the Graphic Novel is told as a flashback story, like it already happened. Not the best way to tell a tale a grand as this. The Del Rey Book Written by Sean Williams Is the Ultimate Fact Machine. It tells the entire Story in Spectacular Detail. It starts out as Vader is on a mission he discovers a Jedi, Starkiller's father. After Dispatching of him, he saves the boy, Starkiller( Which for all trivia buffs, was Skywalkers Original Last name Until the Script Revision) Anyway Vader takes the boy. Fast Forward. "Vader's Secret Apprentice" Is a trained. "Not quite" Sith. He goes on mission after mission, succeeding in them all. His companions are a former Jedi Drunk an Imperial Female Officer. Only one of a very few(The Emperor has his reasons) and a Killer- companion droid Proxy who is supposed to train Starkiller with Lethal force. He can change shape and receive Transmitions from Vader. Anyway The plot is he is supposed to start the Rebel alliance and then destroy it. Vader is playing him along with the Emperor. He destroys target after target. Then when the Rebellion is almost Born. Vader Shows his true colors and the Leaders of the Rebellion are revealed. Only Leia is safe as her image was transmitted through a defeated Proxy. He was Defeated in battle by Starkiller including where Proxy Duplicates Darth Maul. This Battle Disables Proxy's Programing to kill Starkiller. Then Starkiller is defeated the Rebellion is captured. He tracks Down Vader at the, Under Constuction Death Star. He Sends His Love to Juno, The Former Imperial Officer, she helped set his mind right. He battles his way to face Darth Vader and after a major battle Defeats Vader when facing the Emperor The energy allows the rebel leaders to escape, Starkiller absorbs all the force Energy Killing him. Vader and the Emperor Survive (Of corse, Plot has to continue) The realize the rebellion the wanted to start to desrtoy the Emperors enemies unwittingly Will become a problem for them. However it is one they "Believe" they can handle. Then cut. Bail Organa, Leia, Mon Mothma, and the others Realize the Rebellion will start and they use his symbol as the symbol for the Rebellion. Overall a Great Read and an Unbelievable Story. On a Side note if you want A Great Game With Out of this world Game play Get the Game it is Fantastic. 5 Stars for Everything

A Powerful Force Unleashed
I had read Sean Williams' other Star Wars novel Fatal Alliance and enjoyed it. While not a gamer, I do enjoy the books based on the games. This book was a favorite of many and it was time for me to finally read it. It was exciting, action packed and I loved the character of Galen Marek. His journey of self discovery from Dark Side to Light was interesting. I'm sorry the audiobook for this was abridged. Oddly enough, the following book has a complete unabridged audiobook, which I'm looking forward to reading and listening. This book series is a must for Force lovers.

review for star wars the force unleashed book by sean williams
this was the first star wars book i have read and I was shocked at how good it actualy was. The main plot is quite original but some aspects of the book didnt really have the star wars vibe. however I did like how the story helps you to understand and relate to the darkside. the story is set between revenge of the sith and a new hope and it is about a young boy who was taken in by darth vader at a young age and was brought up to be be vaders apprenice. further on in the story he meets a pilot called juno and part of him has feelings for her. as an effect of this he begins to show signs of both beeing a jedi and part of the dark side. this is interesting to see and i think the auther (sean williams) realy gives us an insight to each charactors past and how they are feeling. as a result of this you feel connected to the charactors and it makes the story even better. the flow of the story is and as soon as i read began reading i was hooked by the authers way of keeping the suspence and the non stop action throughout the story. my final point is that it is based on a video game which you should probably read first because it will help you to understand the book better.

Excellent listening
I totally enjoyed listening to this audio CD, it takes you off on a tangent to the original story and introduces new characters along with a few well known ones. I thought the voice of Jonathan Davis was very good and the sound effects made the whole listening a very gripping experience. The battle between the dark and darker side of the force was a great journey and I'd recommend it to anyone who loves the Star Wars story.

A ok story but no longer Canon
Video games seldom make good stories and this is better than most but as it is no longer Canon it has been superseded by the likes of Rogue One but still a decent read.
