Ever After High: The Secret Diary of Apple White

12 year old granddaughter loves these books!

I'm a big fan of most Ever After High books, so when I saw this one, I pre-ordered it right away. Got it straight from Amazon on release day, as usual. The cover is beautiful, very nicely designed. I cracked it open the day I got it! Then, I read the first few pages... Apple White sounds delusional! So, at first I thought this book was a little dumb. I stuck a bookmark in it and put it to the side for a couple weeks. Today, I picked it up again, and after I got through the first few pages of Apple White's delusional sweetness, I was finally drawn into the story. And it was a good story! Heather Alexander seems to look at Ever After High through more rose-colored glasses than other authors, but she's still a very good writer. It was a really good read. I was proud to put it on my bookshelf after finishing it. I will keep this one for a long time.

Wrote for younger audience. Well written, beautiful story, but would have hoped more diary and less story.
