Replacing my PT-65
I bought this Brother P-Touch PT-M95 to replace the PT-65 that I thought was broken. Turns out the 65 only needed new batteries. That's okay, I'll keep the 95 and donate the PT-65 to Goodwill or something. It was pretty easy to get started with the PT 95 after reading the instructions although I will keep the instructions handy in my carrying case. The user guide is available to view and download from the 95 description page where you can get a better view of the symbols and the accent characters. I bought the specialized carrying case that was available separately but I decided I'm going to return it. I was already using a 1.75 L Really Useful Box that functions just as well and holds more blank cartridges. I want to detail some of the features of the 95 and compare some features to the 65. For example the 65 uses six AA batteries and the 95 uses four AAA batteries. The battery area is easier to load on the 95 than on the 65. The cartridges are easier to load on the 65 because the cartridges on the 95 seem to be finicky, needing 'exact' positioning to install. One thing that kind of disappoints on the 95 is that it only has two font sizes large and small, where the 65 has five. Two more sizes are available using the half width or double width. I used the size (large and small), width (double and half) combinations to make five font sizes for these dollar signs. The 95 has up to 80 characters (9.4) viewable on the LCD screen where the 65 only has 55 characters (7.3") before being full. The 95 has shift keys that function the same as a PC keyboard; whereas you can use shift to type one uppercase character. The 95 can function in several languages including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Turkish, German and three other languages. The user guide is shown only in English and Spanish. Both label makers have a preview function that will scroll the entire text across the screen then show you the tape length at the end of that. On the 95 you can interrupt the scroll of the entire text by pressing the shift button which will show you the tape length instead of waiting for the entire characters to scroll. After you use preview to see how much tape will be used, you can use the label length function to add extra blank space before and after the text. You can see from the example where I printed tape that was 2.1 inches, then added an extra inch using label length. The difference puts the majority of the extra space on the leader rather than at the end. The 95 has memory that will store up to three label files. The image function can do three things; basic image mode prints 126 images, pictograph mode prints 84 images and print list prints the pictograph images on a horizontal list two lines high. All images on basic and pictograph can display in two sizes; large and small. The print list prints the pictograph images only in small size. The pictographs in small size are almost too small to see. Personally I probably will never use the small size. See the pics with the lions? The basic symbols have all the punctuation you would ever need including some foreign language currency, face card images in outline and filled in mode, superscript mode and subscript for all numbers and Roman numerals one through four. If you do download the user guide you can see a better image of the basic symbols and the pictograph symbols on page 6. Also available are accent characters you can view on page 5. You can view the eight Deco mode patterns available on the back of the label maker. I only wish it had an AC adapter.

Everyone should have one!!
I purchased this labeler for work a few months ago & have found many uses for it. The labels are easy to print. I've had it for 3 months & have not had to replace batteries yet. It's reasonably priced & good quality. I have labeled shelves, pill bottles, charts, lockers, used them in med & treatment carts, & labeled clothing & belonging drawers in patient rooms. The uses are endless. It just looks more organized & cleaner than handwriting labels. I have not tried to hook it to wireless, not aware that this one does that. I am happy with this purchase. Thank you!!

Good, but could be improved
I really like this label maker a lot! As a teacher, I use it almost daily and am considering getting another one for my house so I don’t have to take it back and forth. The only thing that can be improved is that the labels are really hard to peel before sticking. There are compatible labels sold on Amazon that’s peel easier.

Basic but perfect
This label maker is fantastic and incredibly easy to use. Setup was quick, the buttons are intuitive, and the display is clear and simple to navigate. The labels print crisp, easy-to-read text and stick well without peeling or smudging. It’s compact but sturdy, making it perfect for organizing everything from home storage to office supplies. Battery life is solid, and label replacement is straightforward. Overall, it’s a reliable, well-designed tool that makes organizing fast and oddly satisfying. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a tidy space. It’s a great deal to where I bought a second one to have one upstairs and one downstairs.
