I bought the culinary-grade for my morning smoothies. I have been used it for a week, and this powder is AMAZING. It definitely boosts my energy for all day long. I normally drink my smoothy around 8 am and don't feel hungry until 1 or 2 pm.The taste is delicious. High-quality matcha powder. A nice packaging with the secure zip.Comparing this Encha powder with the one I bought in Mitsuwa market (I forgot the name)-the same grade, Encha has a greener color. I can taste bittersweet in the Encha powder while the other is just bitter.Also, the product description and important information are really details and clear. It helped me a lot in choosing the right type of favorBottom line, the quality is worth with the price.

I ordered the culinary grade of Encha matcha tea, but it has the flavor and fine texture of ceremonial grade Teavanna matcha. I bought this matcha for my daily smoothies, but I occasional drink it traditionally whisked in steaming hot spring water. It dissolves instantly creating a beautiful, frothy, jade green infusion. The flavor is smooth and soothing, no bitter after taste. Encha tea is vacuumed packaged and shipped in a sturdy box, so I am confident of its freshness. Best of all; it is certified organic! Excellent product. Highly recommend this matcha tea.

Hard pressed to rate higher, however, I only have one other product I can compare with which is Made-en Matcha handled by local merchants. Encha does not froth. When whisked it produces large to medium and small bubbles which rapidly dissapate. The Made-en Matcha when whisked creates a healthy froth of very fine bubbles which hold. Flavor wise Encha does not compare to Made-en Matcha which is robust, earthy and has a distinct chlorophyl flavor rather than bitter as is with Encha. Cost wise both are comparable, expensive for such a small amount.

You know you're getting great quality matcha compared to the ones made in the U.S. I actually did research before I bought this and while it's a bit expensive I'd rather spend money on excellent quality matcha than poor quality. This is definitely excellent quality and worth the price.

Love this! I use a 1/2 t. daily in my morning kefir smoothie. Add some protein powder, fruit and you're ready for the day. A little caffeine and lots o antioxidants. Great combo.

Not my favorite matcha, but quite good for culinary grade!

I'm a matcha freak and I have become very picky about the grade of my matcha. I can definitely taste a big difference across the brands. Encha is really a wonderful matcha. I tried the Culinary grade to start and was wowed! Just purchased the next level up to compare and will update this review when I do. You will not be disappointed in this green cocaine. LOL

Excellent product. I was surprised how small the bag was, but I'm a novice. The price per unit measure was in the mid range.
