Works good, once you program it its simple to use and enough space to fit a few pistols and 1 or 2 shotguns

Every safe & lockbox has its use case. In this case, this is not a safe by definition, but rather a fancy locker or lockbox.It fits my use case very well. I need to access the vault quickly in case of an emergency and don't want folks I live with to access the vault. And it works great for that. It can be battery powered with 4 AA batteries. It can also be powered through a plug.When it's only powered with 4 AA batteries, you cannot connect it to wi-fi and if you need to open it with an RFID, you have to press a button first to activate the RFID reader. If it's plugged in, you can connect to wi-fi and don't need to press a button to open it with an RFID. That kind of sucks but I can open the vault reasonably fast with practice and muscle memory.Space wise, it is pretty tight but consider the use case you want to use it for. It could hold 2 long broom sticks. Or 1 long broom broom stick and 1-2 short broom sticks. Or 6-8 short broom sticks if you buy additional racks. Good enough to whack away intruders.By no means is this vault meant to keep determined criminals out, they could just carry out the vault if they wanted to and you could say that about any cabinet in this weight class. Sure you could mount it to the floor or wall, but that wouldn't stop someone with a pry bar.My only complaint is for how expensive it is, the material to make the keypad was really bad. It's just a sticker with numbers slapped on. I just peeled it off and put it back on correctly. Docking a point for this. But if you have family members you don't want accessing tools and need quick access to what is in it, I would say this is reliable and does the job.

Very disappointed in this purchase App doesn’t work and that is the only reason I bought this. You can buy a more secure safe without an app for the same money. Hornady customer service is horrible. They put all the blame on the app developer all the while the consumer gets screwed. I will never buy anything from Hornady.

The shell of this gun safe is really well built. The RFID seems really reliable. The inside is extremely small so don't expect to get more than two rifles and a pistol or two in here safely. My main issue was with the delivery service of this product. Multiple times it was said to have been delivered but was very clearly never delivered. So I had to go through the process of getting a replacement sent. This was supposed to be a couple days of shipping but in all it took over a month to get my safe.

This safe is easy to use and quick to access with the RFID tags. The Wi-Fi feature seems a bit gimmicky but I’ll still give it a try. It’s perfect for a quick access bedside long gun safe.
