Lettering for the Lord: A Christian Hand Lettering How-To Workbook

I was excited to get this book and learn how to do lettering. The price is great, but there is no how-to or instruction in this book. I have to go online to find and print free instructional pages off to show me how to do strokes and learn how to do it before I can use this book. It gives some room for practice and shows a few different kinds of lettering, but this is NOT a How-To or instructional book.

This book is a really great way to practice calligraphy and also help yourself build your faith. I am so excited to use it, and my lettering has improved.

This book is VERY basic. Contains exactly as it describes, 3 font styles with plenty of pages for drills and practice. Does not, however, give guidelines of any kind, nor does it introduce any creative ideas. Book is lightweight, and aside from the phrases chosen, is not very spiritual in nature.

Very similar to free exemplars that can be downloaded from the web. Very disappointing.

I got this for Christmas and I've already used it quite a bit! It has room to practice the different styles of calligraphy and I'm very happy with it! They have scripture to practice your lettering with and all in all it's a great calligraphy book!

Wish there were less practice pages and more examples of Lettering for the Lord - but since it's not an expensive buy and the lettering style is so beautiful it was worth purchasing! I like to use tracing paper to practice with it!

This is a great book for a beginner working on lettering. I thought the p ice was very reasonable and the pages are nice! Would buy this again as a gift!

3 different types of lettering. Don't waste your money. Just go on Pinterest and look at calligraphy and download practice.

Me gusta mucho. Tiene 3 abecedario, y mucho para practicar. Tiene 78 páginas, y desde la página 41 tiene palabras para practicar. Esta muy bien. Me gusta. Yo estoy empezando en el lettering y me viene genial.Recomendación, tener el rotulador tombow fudenosuke (no tiene por qué ser esta marca), que es mas pequeño y seria para hacer lettering más pequeño. Ya en las páginas de proyecto y prácticas, si que use los rotuladores normales.

Love this book which i came across by accident, love the way it is set out and will be using it for many years to come

Muy interesante, realmente se aprende, necesitarás utilizar un rotulador tipo Tombow de punta pincel para igualar los resultados. Si utilizas un rotulador normal te frustarás.
