This fruit cake is absolutely delicious 😋 I wasn't sure what I would receive after reading some of the reviews. I think it's the best fruit cake I've ever eaten. It's moist, packed with fruit, it's not crumbly, cuts well. So well made, would give it ten stars 🌟 if I could. It was a wonderful birthday cake. I do recommend. Great Amazon delivery 👏

I bought it for my birthday today and although it looked great it was a bit on the dry side but it still tastes good. I would buy it again but at over £7 it's pretty expensive

You really get that home made full of fruit buttery taste with this fruit cake. It's expensive for the size of the cake that it is worth having for a treat for guests or a special tea time treat. It is yummy

If you want a delicious cake, then avoid this one because it is awful. It was dry, and dull. I thought I'd treat myself to an expensive old fashioned fruit cake. The cherries I thought would be in the cake, were a few horrible half cherries on the top. I tried to eat one, I couldn't, it was that bad. I can't recall many cakes worse than this one. It was packed with dried fruit, (with the emphasis on dried) but there was not much actual cake, so it didn't hold well together. I took two small bites, but could eat no more, I threw the rest in the bin. Here's my rule of thumb; Would I buy it again? Definitely not. And surely it's repeated sales that makes for any successful business. I would have bought one a Month, had it been what I expected. What a let down, what a rip off! You can't write a review without awarding one star, trust me, it didn't deserve one.

This arrived this afternoon and I have now wolfed over a third of it (in my defence, it's my birthday tomorrow). I have now added it to my Subscribe and Save regular groceries. I am not a fan of cake on the whole and you couldn't pay me to eat, e.g., the abomination that is an American-style cup cake, but a good fruit cake is something special, and this is a good fruit cake. It's not big, but the price is fair compared with less moist, treacly, scrummy cakes of this ilk. For guests, serve in modest slices, for yourself ... dive in. You don't have to eat it all at once, this kind of cake has a good shelf life.
