how much is an additional battery? and how long has this scooter been on the market?

An new battery is currently £79 from Amazon. I don't know how long it's been for sale in the UK.

No, I haven't worked out how to do that. While on holiday I took it inside at attractions and in restaurants without problems. You can remove the seat and the batteries from the scooter but would you want to carry them around. While the scooter dismantles enough to put in a boot, it doesn't fold down. First time I've used it was on holiday and people were stopping me to ask about the scooter and what it could do. The info from the makers said it may struggle on inclines but I had no problem with it including steep inclines.
