Excellent Product
It is easy to use and mutes the banjo effectively. It also allows analysis of picking technique as you can tell when you strike a string too hard. Multiple benefits to using this mute!

Perfect
Amazing. Mutes the sound so that my practicing doesn’t drive my roommates crazy, yet doesn’t distort the sound

Too large
My Kay banjo's bridge is original to that piece, which is between 65 and 100 years old. Looks like a regular banjo; how much has really changed anyway? Well apparently the bridge size because this thang don't fit. If you have a newer banjo or have had to replace your ancient bridge I'm sure you won't experience my problem, but that is my primary banjo due to its impeccable sound and beautifully aged goat skin.Edit: works great on modern bridges

Banjo mute
Liked the quality, but will have to be worn in to use. Very tight on my bridge. Does as advertised, and fortunately I don't have a critical roommate to play quiet around, lol just a brother who plays as well.

It's alright but
It mutes well but it messes with the tuning every time.

Huge difference
I have 3 banjos, one is VERY loud. I put the mute on it and picked it harder than normal and it was a whisper compared to it's normal volume.

Measure your bridge thicknes before buuying this.
Way too tight to fit my banjo's bridge but it fit my banjolele so I kept it.

Great device to reduce the volume of your banjo.
This Gold Tone Iucci Banjo Mute is the perfect little device to tone down and reduce the loudness of your banjo. The mute is really easy to slip on to the bridge. The neat thing about it is that you can change how much you tone down/reduce the volume of your banjo by placing it closer to the strings or moving it closer to the head of the banjo. Experiment with it. I feel I can practice more freely without my banjo irritating my wife and dog. I have yet had a chance to play with other guys who play guitars to find out if the change in tone changes no longer has it tuned to the guitars. Hope that makes sense!
