Perfect fit
I bought two of these for my DC25 (the yellow one) and both packages included the spring. I reinforced the button part with e6000 industrial glue by filling the small channels on each side (underside) of the lever. A toothpick was the perfect tool to fill and distribute the glue evenly. Left overnight to completely harden, installing the next day. Perfect fit, 10 second installation and fully reinforced for longevity. My DC25 is over 13 years old and still works like it was new

Perfect replacement part!
This part was long overdue for me since I was using duct tape to hold it together on my DC25. This works perfectly and was reasonably priced. I highly recommend. I would have bought a lot sooner if I knew it existed! It was a little tricky to install, but got it in after just a few minutes. I was afraid that it would crack, and the spring was tricky so just careful to ease it in. Shipping could have been faster, but after it being broken for a couple of years, what's a few more days? It's back to favorite vacuum status!

Works Just Fine
The old catch broke so you couldn't use the attachments. This went on easy and now everything works fine. A great replacement part and a good price.

Close enough
It’s not a perfect fit. It’s fallen off on a couple of occasions for being a little looser than the OEM piece, but it’s good enough

fits like the original, if ur on the fence if this will fit? if it looks the same ur old one it will fit. fits like a glove and have used and abused it and its holding its own.

Installed with no difficulty
I was a little leery if this would fit without breaking but it went on very easily. To hold the spring in place on the hose side while installing the hose catch, I used a little sticky tack on the post. I was then able to snap the hose catch into place no problem. I hope it lasts as it was quite pricey.
