Wideland - This IS The One To Get - Avoid No Name Copies
Wideland Back-lit Air Remote WIDELAND Backlit Air Remote Control, 2.4G Mini Wireless Keyboard Mouse Ok I just received this today. Works PERFECTLY. This is the one to get. I have another one that is a no named brand Aerb (looks exactly the same like this one) and it programs similarly but this one is better and matches the manual and is accurate and not buggy/weird!! It's not glossy like the other one that shows finger prints all over it, and it seems to control the mouse WAY better. There is a reason some are labeled like this one (WIDELAND), as this is more of an original while others are copies of these. This one has an actual full manual (color) which the other one seems like a cheap copy of this one with NO pictures. The other one always acted weird with the LED light flashing all the time for some reason but it still worked. This one programmed right away, was easy and exits programming exactly like the manual states and when using the LED lights up (signal sent) and then turns off. The other one would just keep flashing and not respond at times no matter how many times it was programmed and reset. It was just weird. Had to take the batteries out and put them back in to stop the annoying LED flashing.Don't bother with other one's if you want a good air mouse. I'll keep the other one but this one is now may #1 and totally worth the money. I have learned to avoid no name identical products from now. I should of know better. If you must purchase a different one that this one be sure it same some name on it.NOTE: This is important as some reviews are paid/discount/fake reviews to make you purchase a product. I was NOT paid or received this remote at a DISCOUNT and I am an ACTUAL Amazon customer.

Could be the perfect remote, but needs improvement.
I'm not sure how this gets so many 5 star reviews. It's ok but certainly needs improvement. The best features of this remote are the programmable keys, the axis Inertia sensors to control the mouse, a keyboard and the backlight. Let's review these features individually:1. The 5 programmable keys. These work perfectly once programmed and they work great. Why do we only get to program 5 keys?2. The axis Inertia sensors to control the mouse When compared to the excellent inertial sensors contained in the smart remote of my Samsung TV, this remote operates very poorly. Sure, it will move the mouse up/down and left/right if you physically move your remote up/down and left/right. Natural hand movement causes you to keep the remote generally still and instead more tilt the remote's front pointer left/right or up/down. However, this remote does not understand tilt. It will initially move in the direction you tilt it but then it will eventually backtrack the direction you came from after reaching a certain angle of tilt. Very poor design here. They should contact Samsung to learn how to use axis inertia sensors properly.3. The keyboard What's a keyboard if there are no Alt, Ctrl or Windows keys?! Otherwise, the keys are nice to the touch and don't feel cheap.4. The backlight Sure there is a backlight and it does light up all the keys, when it's on. However, what use is a backlight if it goes out as you are typing!?? And once it goes out, what do I need to do to get it back on?.. fiddle with it trying to find that light bulb key on the other side, in the dark no less?! At least keep that key lit or in a special place on the side, perhaps put a notch on it or otherwise have a way of shaking the remote to get the light back on. Using this thing as is, in the dark, is impossible. One other thing. After having this for a few months, I found that it occasionally can't sync to the transmitter after not being used for awhile. To fix it, sometimes it requires taking the battery out and back in, or perhaps unplugging the transmitter USB and plugging it back in. This doesn't happen often but it is an annoyance when it does occur. In general, yes, this remote is better than the one it replaced, but it could be so much better if the above issues and features were fixed or improved upon. Who knows if the one I got is just defective. I wish they'd send me a replacement so I could find out. However, when I emailed support, they just ignored me. Does that mean they agree the above are defects? I assume so.

Easy to use, few kinks, good battery life.
I had no issues hooking this up to my android box. Plug in the bluetooth, and it should work immediately. The full keyboard is nice to have. It seems there is a sensor that detects which side of the remote you're using. The backlight in the remote is bright enough to see in the dark, and times out so it doesn't drain battery. I've had this a couple of months now and haven't needed to change out the batteries. The mouse function is a little strange to use... when you go to the end of the screen, you have to adjust where you hold the remote unless you move to the other end of the screen to realign it. I don't think this is a fault of the remote though, it seems to do more with the fact that it is using bluetooth, and not infrared. The only issue I had was with the power button. It seems to not be able to turn my box back on if I power down my android box. I am not sure if this is an incompatibility with the remote or with my box though. If I power my box down with this remote, it will not come back on unless I use the original remote, or unless I pull power to my box. I just always leave my box on anyways so it's not a deal breaker.I will probably buy another one of these because of it's simplicity and because it works for all of the basic functions and more.. AND it has good battery life.
