Quick summary in the bullet-points at the bottom of this review. We got this for my 8 year old son for Christmas to go with his new diecast Lambo. He loves his diecast car collection, he’s got a few different sizes, but they manage to roll off his shelves even though they’re level (or maybe we need a new level?). All of his cars fit and look awesome in this case- of course now he wants the 4 level display case as well! Even though it’s a bit larger than other display case options, I’m so glad we went with this one because he can also play with it and the layout is simple yet fun. The colors are muted enough, but not boring, it really looks just like the description photos. The lighting and background scenes don’t take away from the collection, if anything it definitely adds a cool over all element. It took about 30 minutes to put together but I’m certain it can be done quicker- I was finishing a Netflix binge so I wasn’t hustling. The printed directions included in the box are universal for a couple of display models so I recommend watching the instructional video included in the product description here on Amazon, or have a screenshot of the model you’ve purchased saved on your phone and handy for referencing. I didn’t put the case together before gifting, I gave it to my son wrapped in the original packaging…if I had opened it to put it together before Christmas I may have noticed that the street light was possibly missing, which is necessary to light the middle level. I didn’t take away a star in my review because I can’t be sure my son didn’t lose it Xmas morning. Per other reviews, it doesn’t seem to be a regular issue, so it very easily could have gotten lost in the present opening chaos as my lil dude went through the package to look at the “really cool” pieces. Hopefully I can find the part needed to light the rest of the garage either mixed with another gift here at home or online to purchase, because the lighting is a really is a cool feature. To summarize: great gift & display case • suitable for children who can be careful while playing, it’s not really a toy after all •Easy enough to put together, especially if you use the video in the product pictures or a screenshot of your chosen model •Before gifting or assembling, make sure you have all of the necessary parts (really wish I had the mid-level light hookup!) •Looks exactly as pictured, awesome lighting features, definitely worth the price •Easy to dust and remove finger prints- my son wipes his down with a little microfiber cloth as needed •the lighting is really vibrant and enhances the display, not overly bright •the dimensions & backdrop colors are exactly as shown in description •highly recommend, even for the smaller 1:36 sized cars

I have bought and assembled three different types of these parking garage 1:24 car display, and this one is my personal favorite. Assembling this was very easy, I didn't follow the instructions, things just fit together. Everything you will need is included, including an allen wrench. The interesting thing about this display is the background and lower two sides are held together by clear double sided mounting tape. That's different from my previous builds (which required screwing the walls down). My favorite part is the street scene on the top. This includes a street sign, a working LED tiny street light, and a plastic tree. It looks fantastic and very different from the generic parking garage. As for value, I think I paid $70, but it holds a maximum of 9 cars (the top you're only supposed to have one or two, but you can see in the picture, you can fit three). I have paid $70 for a similar display, but that only held 3 cars (4 if you don't care about spacing). My only complaint is that the lights are battery operated, I wish it was USB / power plug so I can leave the lights on all the time if I choose to. I'm certain you can buy an adapter and a long extension cord... but for now the battery operated lights works for what it is. I also didn't like the black guard railing on the plexy glass. I think it made sense for the top/sidewalk, but it doesn't make sense for the streets. You can rub off the black rails, so I might do that when I have more time. I would prefer just clear plexy glass. Not all 1:24 cars did not fit in this display, so just be aware. The police car barely fit. If you have Transformers Alternators (1:24 scale), they will mostly all fit. Also, if you are putting this together for the first time, leave a little breathing room for the four columns. The interior wood is not long enough, so don't tighten it all the way until you secure the top and bottom. Once you have the screws in place, you can securely tighten it. I hope they come up with a new design/color scheme. I will buy another one if I can get a different design. Anyway, so far, this is my favorite display for my cars.

The display does take some time and finesse to put together but overall it is pretty neat. Maybe I'll try adding some mini led lights to it to jazz it up some. The plastic side pieces do take some work on getting them perfectly perpendicular to the bottom/top pieces to fit together. Other than these small design issues it's a pretty solid little display case. I did have a little issue with my order of which the reseller reached out to see what they could to remedy the issue. I had explained that the two tab pieces that to into the top had come with hair line fractures that made them too delicate to try to fit into the wood. I was going to try gluing or epoxing it but they had squared me up with replacement and it's as good as new for my nephews cars I got him. He is happy and I'm happy with the product and customer service. Thanks!

It's hard to find dust free enclosures for 1/25 model cars, but this is a nice one. It holds 8 cars (6 enclosed and 2 on the roof). Not hard to build. The platforms are made of particle board, and mine had small indentions on two corners (from sipping, I guess). It would be five stars if their was no damage. The plastic walls are protected with a film that you must remove...very clear. THe lights are battery powered and not very bright. I think I am going to buy another one. This one was for my VW's...I need one for my pickups.

My husband builds model cars, so I bought this for him for Christmas to store some of his work. He loves it! He really loves the light on the top parking deck.
