For years I had an old school metal bread box with a roll up top that I hated because it was such a hassle trying to get it open or closed and took up a lot of counter-top space in my small kitchen. Since I don't have enough cabinet space to store our bread and other baked goods in the cabinets and we have cats that like to massage the bread bags with their claws and even sleep on top of the bag of bread, I suffered with it till I could stand it no longer and went looking for something better. This bread basket is awesome!! It's large enough to hold store bought bread but doesn't take up a lot of counter-top space. I was really pleased and surprised at how thick the walls of the bottom container are - no thin, flimsy plastic here! This is a solid, heavy-duty bread box that will last for years. The excellent cutting board surface on reverse side of top is a very handy feature that I use for slicing bagels. In fact, I'll probably order a 2nd one just for bagels since I could stack them and it would still take up less room than my old bread box. Highly recommend!!

When I started dating my husband I loved going to his house because his mom always had fresh bread baking. There is no better smell. A fresh slice of bread was always the go to snack of choice. However, I am kind of a neat freak so I never liked the way it created so many crumbs that easily scatter. The bread station was always such a mess. This bread box not only gives the bread its own safe little house, it also contains the mess. What more could you want from a bread box? It matches my natural colors so well that I leave it out all the time. My husband once again has the comfort of fresh baked bread to remind him of his loving childhood home, only now it is being cooked by his super hot wife!

Came a day earlier than promised and looks nice and well-made though smaller than I would have thought. But I bought it as a gift for someone with an often-used bread machine so a one-loaf capacity may be just what they wanted.

I loved it while it lasted. The bamboo top has started to warp, and split in the center. I can no longer place bread in the box because the top does not seal around the edges anymore and lets air in. If they do then i will amend this review. I really liked the product, until it stopped being able to do its job. Note: Providing pictures of the issue. This product was never dropped or mistreated. This happened from normal use and washing the top with soap and water when it needed it. After all its a cutting board too, so we used it to cut the bread we stored in it. Very sad this product didn't last a long time. looked so good on my counter. The bottom portion has held up perfectly.

I really wanted to love this product. I love the concept. The board is great but the cover box is so ridiculously big it makes absolutely no sense. And I mean it is HUGE. I just don't understand for what. As if I am going to stack up three loafs in there on top of one another. I am no longer using it. Too big on my counter, way too big for the fridge.....

This arrived super quick. Really sturdy and roomy. This will keep a full loaf and a partial ready for snack, sandwich, or supper. The wood cutting board holds a good seal, and is very smooth, no splinters, or scratches. My cat likes to check things out on the counter when I have my back turned, this keeps her whiskers out of my bread, at least! Obviously this looks much nicer and classier than a bag on store bought bread, and holds a nice amount of homemade bread. I like the muted color: this will blend, not try to take over my kitchen. I am very pleased.

Nice at first but lid cracked after a month creating a sharp edge, too easy to cut yourself and couldn’t return so we tossed it.

Yes, it's roomy enough to hold few loaves and maybe some extra. But I knew it because I always check sizing! ;) It's very well made, the lid is snug enough to allow ventilation, and I love an ability to use it as a board (no more berating my hubby for leaving crumbs on a counter). It seems to make bread last longer, too. Usually our bread go stale or moldy in a day or two. Now we can actually finish a loaf without throwing a way most of it. So at the end, the price of this basket pays for itself in just few months.
