After years of buying my hooks individually as my projects required, I finally bought this whole set. No more rooting around in my messing sewing drawer looking for the hook to start my current project. Should have done it from the beginning. haha. I have a stash of yarn to use when the spirit moves so why not a stash of hooks to take on different projects! I like this assortment but I would have liked the larger hooks to go up a little more, like N and P hooks. I have those particular hooks in plastic as well as the L hook but these metal hooks are so much smoother to use because of the shape of the hook part itself. I didn't comment on the last two categories because ergonomic and easy to hold are relative. I have no hand issues that would require larger or padded handles. I am delighted that they come in their own zippered case with a few notions thrown in (yarn needles and stitch markers). I take the whole case with me and it lessens the chance of misplacing some of my hooks. There's also room to add your own small scissors (or ring cutter or floss cutter to pass airline requirements) and measuring tape or 6" sewing ruler so you can have almost everything in one place and yet it's streamlined.

This is not a high-end set, but I did not expect it to be one. Considering this and that I have been crocheting since I was 5 years old I still give the set a 5 for exceeding my expectations. They feel good in your hand, are smooth, and well balanced to use, amazing actually for the price. If I were to find any flaw it would be that they are on the light side, so I will not expect them to hold out for a lifetime but time will tell. For the price I recommend them for a beginner or as in my case a spare set to fill in holes of the sizes I already have. Oh and not only that these do have that little channel along each side that high end hooks sport that guides the yarn and helps keep it from slipping off when crocheting quickly....also helpful to a beginner as well. Easy

The case and the hooks are a decent quality. I would have given it 5 stars but, like other reviewers said, the hooks were not quite as advertised. I received two #7 hooks but no H hook. Fortunately, I have an H hook and needed the 7. It seems like it should be a simple thing to make sure the right size hooks are put into the case. I feel like the yarn needles and stitch markers are bonus items. The needles are different sizes and good quality but the stitch markers have rough edges and are cheap plastic. Overall, depending upon your needs, this set is a good value.

I am incredibly happy with this package of crochet hooks, markers and needles all in a nice case! It has all of the sizes from really small 0.06 mm to an L/11-8.00MM. Anything over an H crochet hook can be difficult to find and you can usually only buy it separately. This has all of the sizes in one case and each needle is well marked with the size.

These are lighter and less substantial than I am used to. Not my favorite, but I needed a few odd sized hooks for a project that I most likely wont need to softening at all. Fair for the price, not for seasoned artists. Perfect for beginners.

Just as described. I own a lot of crochet hooks, but not the variety of different sizes, so that is why I decided to buy these. As I use them they seem to be a little rough the yarn doesn't seem to move smoothly through the hook. I took a close look at them and compared them to my other ones and I can see some slight imperfections when the hooks were manufactured, which might be the cause. I just can't figure it out, but I will use them until they start to snag my yarn, then I will stop.

I love this set! It's very basic and perfect for someone who isn't working on humongous projects. They are fundamentally just crochet hooks, so I wouldn't recommend these if you are prone to hand fatigue. But if you're doing edging or crocheting for shorter periods of time, or if you have nimble non-arthritic fingers; then these are great! These were perfect for my project and I'll be using these for years to come. I'm primarily a knitter but this set is perfect for those times when I need to crochet bits and pieces of work! The case it came in is VERY convenient and portable too. Amazing value, really.

A good little set for crocheting. Comes with a variety of different crochet needle gauges. It also comes with differently sized needles to thread in your loose ends and plastic markers so that you don’t lose your spot.

I returned this set because I find that crochet needles of this design are just too hard on the hands after several hours of crocheting, I switched to the ergonomic needles and much prefer them.

I love this set!! It has almost all of the sizes of hooks i need plus comes with all tge extras you need for projects!
