The battery life is 12 hours which is terrible. You don't have time to think when you try using the motion aim. Controller shape and quality is poor. If I paid half of what I paid for it, I wouldn't complain. Not worth the price. Hasn't improved my game play online. Didn't test it for single player. Great gimmick.

Its a crazy omission that Xbox are without gyro support in this day and age. This is the solution. The controller is almost identical to a standard xbox controller, but its much better finished and feels nicely weighty in the hands. You should be reasonably tech savy to get the best from this, and you will need a pc or mac to update the firmware on the unit. There are settings available already for almost any game you may have, but you can also create your own and adjust and edit more options than I could dream of if you wish. If you update the controller with the beta firmware (and use beta manager), you can also map gyro rotation to your left stick x axis and voila, gyro steering. Since I got used to gyro steering on GT7, I cant play a more sim style game without that level of control. Now I have it for Forza Motorsport on xbox too. I have been extremely pleased with the performance and quality of this unit. If you want gyro on xbox, its the only useable option

UPDATE: Works Flawlessly on PS5, XBSX, and PC Just wanted to update my previous review as I had issues getting this to work 100 percent on ps5. There was no way to map the touchpad at the time in the app, so that was an issue with certain games. A beloader pro is also required to get this working as Sony updated what kind of controllers can be used on ps5 games. The beloader pro works through the remodeplay feature and has literally no noticeable lag. Beloader also makes it possible for you to use any controller on your ps5. Such a cool piece of tech. I am happy to report that you can now map the touchpad to any button. The only catch here is that you cannot map the share button to do what it used to do, share. My quick and dirty solution to this was to have a longer usb-c wire connected to the ps5 controller and xim dongle as to just tap the share button on the ps5 controller whenever I feel like recording gameplay. All that being said, I do see the need for a beloader pro, which comes with an additional cost, being a concern for people who just want these types of things to work. Here’s how I see it. You’re using a controller that has the capabilities to give a heavy unfair advantage in any game you play, you may have to buy a few things to get it to work. Xbox does not require a beloader, just an authentication xbox controller connected to the dongle. PC requires no authentication controllers. You can just plug the dongle in and go. It will be recognized as an Xbox 360 controller in steam. You still have the option of using an authentication controller and customizing from there as well. You really don’t need to do that though. Works perfectly and it’s quicker to just plug the dongle in and go. Another important thing to mention. UPDATE THE APP, CONTROLLER, AND DONGLE!!! If you do all that and it still doesn’t connect, then you may have a problem. That is all. 3/7/2023 I thought I’d write a second review for this as more of a second addressing of concerns. Can you get a dud controller that may fail? This is possible. Not likely, but possible. I ran into an issue where the dongle just refused to sync. Replaced it, problem solved. Does it work with ps5/4. Yes, but not well. There is not native touchpad support. I wouldn’t get it for those consoles. Wait of the Xim matrix. How’s the build quality? It’s actually sturdier than OEM controllers, but smoother feeling, which can feel kind of cheap. I had to play with it for awhile to feel the quality of the controller. At first thought you will think it feels cheap. It works perfectly on the Xbox Series X and I can only presume the Xbox one. I only use it on my xbox. Does it work on pc? Yes, just like any other controller. The difference here is that you can either connect via Bluetooth (same with mobile device) or with the dongle, or wired, or wired though the dongle. The point is that it works. Does the software work. Yes!!! You need to update the controller, dongle, and app. Especially if you want the advanced functions. Do you need it? Absolutely not. Especially if you’re an experience gamer. This is more for fun and to have a cool piece of tech. This is hands down the most advanced full featured controller you’ll own as of right now. More than scuf, more than and elite, more than the new edge controller, hands down. Is there a learning curve to setting it up? Yes. The resources are limited to how advanced you want to go and you will need some help setting up the gyro aim. Once that is setup. You’re good to go. You will not be able to leverage the controller right out of the box. Is it worth buying? 100 percent. Especially if you can get it used or cheap. Then it is a steal. Warning: Buy only from Amazon. I have not experienced this companies customer service first hand, but I would not disregard their experiences. Amazon has a great return policy. More than enough time to see if you like it or it for some reason doesn’t function as intended. That is all. I hope this helps.
