A neighbor was giving away her Sony VCT-R640 tripod. I was excited to receive it until I saw it was really for a video camera and I wanted it for my digital camera. Found the quick release plate on Amazon and it works great so now my tripod find is usable for me.

Had an expensive ball mount on my tripod and my OM camera could never settle down. Bought this. Rock solid. Don't know how sturdy it'll be, but value for the money? 5 stars.

It looks and feels like a well made product.Unfortunately I am unable to use it. It does not fit my tripod, the DIM is off just a few MM (likely my measuring). I will keep it, because, the unit cost $6.99 minus the cost to ship back of $5.99 for a refund/credit of $1 is not worth the hassle.

Came as described and worked perfectly with my tripod and fit my camera great. Felt super comfortable hooking my camera up to it and felt confident it would hold! I’ve used it a lot and it is still in great working condition.

So I lost my tripod head about a year ago and it's been gathering dust since, so when I researched getting a universal replacement this was 2nd or 3rd on the list.The price was right so I ordered it and could not be happier, it fits nice and snug just like the original, I use this for my smartphone and it really helps getting close to pro grade shots, specifically time lapse/hyperlapse astrophotography shots that require complete steadiness.Highly recommend this for the price and quality.

Ok this tripod mount will fit numerous amounts of cameras. I have multiple Cannon cameras. It also fits Some Cannon video cameras. Some Sony picture cameras. My concern was I couldn't find an answers to whether or not the plate would fit my MX 2000 Tripod. I took a gamble because because the plate was only 6.99. So nobody has to do what I did, I can tell you this plates absolutely DOES NOT FIT the MX 2000 tripod. Good product fast delivery. This review is more to let people know if it fits the MX2OOO tripod. Hope it helps.

The QR did not fit the tripod despite it being listed as compatible, it’s also made of cheap plastic.Not good, especially for the price.

Works as expected.
