The Wire: The Complete Visual History: (The Wire Book, Television History, Photography Coffee Table Books)

This is a beautiful coffee table book. The Wire is one of my favorite series EVER. The Complete Visual History is a book that can be looked at many times. Right now, I'm using it as a companion as I re-watch the show. I enjoy reading the director/writer/actor comments along with trivia about Baltimore filming locations. There is a heartfelt dedication to Michael K Williams (Omar).

I got this for my husband as a gift and he just loved it. Of all the books on the subject, this is the best one. Don't miss it!

I watched “The Wire” when it originally aired - once a week and not on-demand at that time. I moved to Australia 2009 and was very surprised when The Wire would come up during conversations. Many people spoke about the issues presented in the series along with seeing how many are effected by systems that supposed to provide support and protection. I brought this book as a conversation book for guests and share with them more info about a remarkable series. A great show and this book just adds as to why this series will be a major part of television history.

We watched every episode of this series and we also bought all of the DVDs. It's our very favorite t.v. series ever, and this terrific book brings back wonderful memories. The book is filled with many (mostly large) photos, and there's a significant amount of written material about each season. Looking through this book is the next-best thing to watching the show; it's a real treat.
