Effectively Blocks the Sun!
I bought this umbrella mainly for sun protection. It's not the rainy season here for another 4 months so I can't mention its performance in the rain!I'd purchased another black umbrella with a fabulous curved handle which was a pleasure to hold but it lacked a safety leash. It felt like the mild wind would tear it out of my grip. I could clearly see the sun through the other umbrella's 210T pongee fabric. Those experiences led me to this fabulous umbrella. I bought the black with the red interior so it's double layered so it effectively blocks the sun which is what I was looking for. It came with a cover that has a side zipper so I could easily replace the umbrella! What a treat to have a cover that's usable! The leash is a large, stretchy band. I wish the handle was one inch longer. The button to open and close the umbrella is a bit stiffer to operate than the other new umbrella I have and it requires a bit more strength to close it by pushing from the top. It's heavier but it is double layered! It has a quality look to it and the black supports and center pole add to that look. It's perfect except for the handle being shorter than what I'd like. The umbrella blocks the sun perfectly and that's the most important feature (for me) and for $30 less than UV rated umbrellas. I've found information on the Internet that any black umbrella blocks 77-95% of UV rays.

Best umbrella I've ever owned
Best umbrella I've ever owned. Very sturdy, dries in a blink of an eye and made with such great quality. The umbrella is a bit heavy but it makes sense because it's so strong & reliable. After writing this review I'm purchasing another one.

it is utterly useless.
This is really a ZERO-STAR umbrella. It would be 5-star if there was a mechanism to hold the umbrella open. Without the mechanism, it is utterly useless.

Wires Sticking Out
I bought this camera for my trip to New York since it's going to rain. It was my first time using it today. It felt sturdy at first but I noticed the threading holding the wires ripped on a few. So there are 3 metal wires poking out of my umbrella
